Do it!! This is a great figure and the colors are beautiful.. His head sculpt is menacing and he looks badass in either configuration.. Also comes with that badass blade/blaster... My only complaint is that you only get one robot and armor and it's very hard to decide which way to display his sexy black ass

 

$150 is a fine price. It's a very nice figure, if not quite as posable when armored up as I'd like.

 

I think I paid $150 for the figure when tfsource had their supply and I don't regret it. I have left him in robot mode with the cape and he looks amazing. The teal pops against the black in light and he has a great shelf/desk presence. And he retains good articulation with the added armor surprisingly. Two things though.

Because it is a Maketoys product their transformations aren't as intuitive as some other companies. To me at least. So if you like transforming your figure a lot I would keep that in mind.

And the cape looks good in photos but ok in person. Again my opinion but I was hoping for more of a flow-y fabric cape and less cheap ridged whatever is.

My solution was to get some black fabric from Michael's or Joann's and make my own cape. I used the cheap included one as a rough template. I sewed two layers together to make sure it was dark enough and had good weight. Then rough cut some holes for the pegs and shredded the bottom a little bit with some scissors. It makes a world of difference.

 

Still one of my all time favorites.

It's a great mold but is designed to stand in your CHUG collection.

I'm not certain but I think he would look a bit tiny next to CW OP, for example.

Is there a way the tanker clips on to his back like he's wearing it? It almost feels like there should be a way.

The blade is stored in the tanker, so can you hide the hilt anywhere?

Umm,can anyone help me out by telling me how to get the back wheels to align properly,the back wheel especially likes to stay up in the air and not touch the ground,which bugs me because of my slight OCD and makes me tilt a bit.Thanks (My hyper novae also has the same issue,i feel like i'm doing the transformation wrongly.)

Nope. Anything initially exclusive to MT's store will only ever get a limited single run. You need to get it while its available or miss out for forever.

 

This figure wasn't exclusive to MT's store afaik. I bought mine from Toy Dojo back in 2015 and The Chosen Prime had a few arrive in stock toward the end of last year.

 

It was an "exclusive" as in not mass retail,retail stores can secure small stocks up to the amount maketoys will allow for them to sell on their own stores.Of course the retail stores will sell their secured stock with a higher price to profit,so it is an exclusive at the normal price,others selling it are just re-selling

The copies that TD and CP got being from the same exact limited single run. Resellers pay extra to get limited stuff for their own storefronts all the time and that's exactly what happens when the likes of TD and CP get these items. They throw a little bit more money at MT in the hopes of getting an item that will be hot once they have it because it is otherwise unavailable to their customers. These items typically getting a price hike once on said US sites is a reflection of this tactic. Initial RRP of Nemesis being $140 (what I paid) via MT's store, becoming $150 through US resellers and eventually getting as high as $200 at both CP and TD. Which imo is a disgustingly bloated price hike but eh if people are willing to pay that then its a smart business move. So can't blame those sellers for taking advantage of customer behavior.

Many people either don't want to buy from sites like MT's due to paranoid distrust of an unfamiliar seller, or simply lack awareness of their site or have the perception that higher price tag + lower ship cost = better than lower price tag + higher ship cost which influences their local of choice of which to buy from regularly. Again, another thing you can't blame resellers for taking advantage of. What sells sells.

So exclusives thrive on these attitudes and business tactics.

At the end of the day you want an exclusive and don't want to get a bit screwed? don't miss its initial source of availability. Nemesis was easily purchasable from MT's storefront for a good solid 3-4 months at least. I'm not surprised sellers swooped in eventually to get the remaining stock and jack up dat price. Gooood money that is.
