Rakata Prime, In Orbit The Edge burst out of hyperspace in front of the fleet accompanied by a single Mc80, two C90 Corvettes and a single Hammerhead Corvette. "ALL SQUADRONS LAUNCH!" yelled Admiral Thermis. "FOCUS ATTACKS ON THE LEAD STAR DESTROYER! AND TAKE OUT ANY SHUTTLES THAT ATTEMPT TO DOCK! WE CAN'T LET THEM GET ANY MORE OF WHAT THEY'RE COLLECTING!" Milor would soon take off in her X-Wing accompanied by the rest of Silver Squadron, along with many other X-Wings, Y-Wings and B-Wings.
Orbit of Rakata Prime "We've been ambushed! Deploy the fleet!" Nightsinger exclaims as the Rebel fleet emerges. To counter the small Rebel fleet, the Hydra is flanked by two Acclamator Class Assault ships, as well as an Imperial Raider. Various cargo ships attempted to head either toward the Hydra or back down to Rakata Prime, however the former were easily torn apart by fire from the Rebel starfighters. "Deploy all fighter squadrons, cover the cargo ships!" Nightsinger yells into the com-link. The Imperial Raider moves into a forward position, covering the Acclamators and the Hydra as the deploy a squadron of TIE Fighters, Interceptors and V-Wings. Rakata Prime As the Stormtroopers circle Pok to arrest him, the Sergeant receives a transmission. Doing some kind of hand signal that Pok doesn't understand, the Stormtroopers run off, heading toward the Imperial Garrison.
A-21 began to watch the battle. "It is not wise to allow the Shuttles passage in the middle of this firefight. Meanwhile, Milor lead Quicksilver squadron on an attack run against the Hydra, blasting several turrets on their way.
"I don't have much of a choice, A-21! They're already here! Contact the Imperial Garrison on Rakata Prime again. Tell them to ground all Cargo vessels and to man Anti-Air Turbo Lasers in case they break through the blockade." Nightsinger ordered through gritted teeth. "Yes sir!" a junior Officer replied. "Order the Acclamators to get into a position to protect us while we reroute power from the destroyed turrets to bolster our forward deflector shields, and command the Raider to outflank the Rebel fleet and assault them from their flank!" she added.
"Surely it would be more beneficial to use a Tartan Cruiser? They are much more adept at eliminating fighters." Outside, Quicksilver Squadron made a run on the ships shield generator, strafing around the TIE Fighter's bkasts from behind.
"Well, that would indeed help, but ours was taken away by High Command and rerouted to the Lothal sector, if you remember correctly." Nightsinger sighed. "A-21, contact Outer-Rim Command and tell them we're being attacked. Ask for reinforcements, if possible." she added. As the Rebel Quicksilver Squadron made for the shield generator, a V-Wing Bomber flew overhead, dropping a seismic charge in to the midst of the squadron of X-Wings and Y-Wings.
"Contact them? I was built for tactical use, not as a messenger droid." Milor and several fighters managed to escape the blast, the most were wiped out by it.
Nightsinger clenches her fists. "Fine. Do something. Coms-Officer, relay my previous orders." she says. The V-Wing bomber goes around for another bombing run, although he is shot down by the Hammerhead Corvette.
"Fine, I'll do something." A-21 would then comm the hanger. "TIE Bomber Squadron, launch. Formation 129, target the Hammerhead." Said Bombers would quickly launch and fly towards the Rebel Fleet. Explosions travelled along the Hammerhead as each bomb hit it's target. "All bombs have hit their target" commed the Lead Pilot. "Excellent. Lieutenant Nightsinger, we've eliminated a corvette."
Clench watched the viewscreen with a twinkling of bemusement in his eyes. Turning to Nightsinger, he asked, "Perhaps a boarding party is in order?"
"Good work, A-21. Yes, I concur Clench." Nightsinger says. "Clench, you, Sarge and the other Storm Commando's are coming with me and Jak. Midshipmen, prepare boarding pods."
Jak would simply nod. "I shall order the Bombers to take out the remaining corvettes, and arrange for a squadron of Tie Defenders to cover your run" said A-21.
"Good, A-21." Nightsinger says. In the battle outside, the V-Wing Bombers form up with the TIE Bombers, heading toward the Rebel fleet. Meanwhile, the turbo-laser batteries from the Edge manage to blow apart one of the Acclamators, its crew and cargo incinerated as it implodes from the hull.
"Good job! Aim for the second Acclamator!" said Thermis from the bridge of The Edge. Meanwhile on the bridge of the Hydra, A-21 assessed the battle outside. "Lieutenant, I recommend taking ships from the lower hanger, there is less conflict below the ships than above. And we've received word that a fleet is on it's way to reinforce us."
"Once again, a good call. Jak, you and the Commando's are with me." Nightsinger says, holstering her pistol. "Sublieutenant, you and A-21 have the bridge until we return." ((G'night.))
Jak would follow Nightsinger. Firepower from The Edge would focus heavily on the second Aclamator as several of it's turrets were blown off. Quicksilver squadron were in a dogfight with a squadron of Tie Interceptors around the Hydra's starboard hanger. Meanwhile, TIE Bomber Squadrons had obliterated a CR90 Corvette with their remaining bombs. ((Have a good sleep))
Sir Balderich senses the fight beginning overhead, and quickens his pace toward the landing platforms.
Nightsinger and Jak would arrive at the lower hangar, where Sarge (presumably Clench) and 4 other Storm Commando's were waiting. "Sir." one of the Commando's says, saluting. "Trooper." Nightsinger said, patting the Commando on the shoulder. "I take it you've all been informed on what we're doing?" she then asked. In space, the Edge managed to cripple the Acclamator's engines, although the vessel remained operational. Having destroyed the CR-90 Corvette, the TIE Bombers and V-Wing Bombers flew to the Edge, emptying the remainder of their payload into the bridge, although the larger cruiser's shields would repel the attack. The Imperial Raider flew past the second CR-90, unleashing its starboard turrets at the Rebel ship.
Driver emerged into the hanger, his blaster slung across his shoulder. "Sorry 'bout that. Line at the refresher," he halfheartedly apologized.
