If they are trying to copy (I personally think they are using what works and is trending actually), they can do it for me, they are utilizing the weapons they have from the beginning: dinosaurs = Dinobots, Dragons = like a lot of characters and Predacons, mini robots companions = Minicons ... Untill there is not a specific and obvious point in common in the plot, like a moment "I am your father" type of thing or destroyng a death star... or a Starkiller base using a convinient vent, I don't care personally. Also I never saw dinosaurs walking on skyscreaper before AOE, a transforming dragon before TLK, or even a driller-worm going through multiple skyscrapers at the same time before DOTM... but they probably copy that from "Tremors" didn't they?

I don't know what everyone's problem is. Is it because he's ******ed? Is it because you keep thinking Star Wars? I keep thinking Fixfit needs fixing.

I just don't know why is priced so high. Kids may want it but parents may think it costs too much.

See, when we say things like "why can't more movies have (insert cool thing here) in them??"...this is probably why. Because there will always be people who cry "Copycat."

I MUCH rather watch the first TF movie over something like Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones. In fact a lot of the VFX in those first two prequels have become pretty dated.

Still better looking than Alpha 5 from the new MMPR movie coming out.

I still contend that no robots will ever do it better than R2D2 and Johnny Number 5.

However, dated or not, I can still understand what is going on in those Starwars films. Bay's action shots look like a drone flying around a piece of crushed up tin-foil at mach-3 under strobe lights.

I agree... I understood what was going on in those prequels but the way it was directed just made me uneasy or wishing it could have been better. I look at the Gungan vs.Droid battle and still not enjoy it because of the quality of the CGI. I still don't like how little Ani just destroys a Sepratist ship. TPM had action going on in separate places which isn't sure which conflict was the more important one. Was it the Jedi fight? Was it Padme and the Naboo people? Was it Jar Jar? Or was it Anakins'?

AOTC improved a little with the Jedi and the Clones coming into action. There were okay moments like Obi-Wan on Kamino but when we got to the lightsaber fights I didn't feel that much of a climatic fight.

With the first Transformers movie, I like a lot of the chaos that was going on. I love Blackout's assault on the airforce base, I love Scorponok's attack, I love Frenzy being the stealth ninja and I love the Bumblebee and Barricade car chase. Sorry....

I absolutely HATE, LOATHE, ABHOR people who claim "everything is a copy of everything, anyway! GO PLAGIARISM CAUSE IT DOESN'T EXIST! YEAAAAAH!"

The guy makes a good point, comparing BB8 to Sqweeks. And the relevance of that point is in the TIMING. BB8 was just created, with a similar RC toy and emphasis. The comparison is apt, because it's also fresh.

Saying TF LK is REAAAALLLY copying LotR or Dune or some other such nonsense is less relevant - those properties are not DIRECTLY COMPETING RIGHT NOW. So in the sense that SW is a direct competitor (despite the alternate-part-of-the-year movie release schedule), TF movies copying that franchise is a lot more important, from the point of view of PLAGIARISM.

It really depends on your sensitivity and definition of the concept, but outright dismissing the obvious comparisons is disrespectful and ignorant. For more on this topic, you guys should really look into joke plagiarism, and how current comedians are constantly facing this problem. Let's not be so dismissive of those who blatantly steal ideas from others, rather than attempt to write for themselves (I'm spitting on you, FIREFLY). Of course, it never shocks me anymore: the common LAYMAN has absolutely no regard or consideration for authors/writers. TF LK could be a complete copy of the last SW film, and 99% of you would not care. Ergo, this entire post is really irrelevant, as the common film goer will continue to disregard the importance of writing integrity. Seriously: go ahead and dismiss all claims of plagiarism because you suspect the accuser is malicious or you don't like them; it just shows an absolute ignorance on the topic that cannot be cured.

I liked the stealth attack on the airside base in the first film. However, it's the only, serious part, and for me, the only part I can watch in any of the films again.

The rest is utter, utter rubbish for me.

I don't know about that.... But I assure it isn't the only one. The movie has some quiet and nice moments like the scene at Hoover Dam where the Autobots discuss their next move.
