I can totally see that for Reflector given his mail away status back in the day. I solid expect the Insecticons to be main line releases though.

Looking fine! Going to be a great few months for MP with Downbeat & MP36

 

Dirge looks good, but the grey/black difference with Ramjet and Thrust is really jarring.

I've got Ramjet and Thrust, but I'm really hoping bb7 will release (high) quality KO's of these, because there are so many little things I would like to change. I would likely even get a second KO Dirge to partswap the grey and black with Ramjet to have a grey parts Ramjet. Bit too expensive to do with the official figures.

 

I love the face sculpt. I like how each of the Coneheads has a different expression. Ramjet looks solemn and serious. Thrust has that disdainful snarl. Dirge has this haughty and proud expression. I can't wait to have him to complete the set.

 

The trio look great together. The seeker mold though is really showing its age when compared to the new designs.

I wish a 3rd party company releases heads with different face expressions for TC, SW ans SS to differentiate them too. And preferably with extra telescoping-colapsing null-rays to get shorter canons in alt mode.

@Arie Probably just to show possiblilty storage for his altmode weapons, like with Ramjet.

Ramjet also didn't have missiles on his back, but he did have different weapons in jet and robotmode. And those altmode weapons were put on his back on the box to show storage.

I don't do that either. With Ramjet I use the big bombs in robotmode because of the toy look. See if I can't do something similar with Dirge.

But that's another point where these MP Coneheads fall a bit short. Don't really care for a stand (never used those ever), but it would be nice to have alternate weapons options so we can choose to recreate either the cartoon what we can do now (nullrays in robotmode that store in the bombs for alt) and the toys with their very distinct weapons.

 

I had to check and you are right, Ramjet has his missiles on his back as well on the box art. Seriously did not notice before. Thank you for pointing that out.
