What is going on with Catcall anyway?

What's going on with the whole line?

 

Catcall honestly looked kind of unfinshed being what appeared to be plain blue unpainted plastic. MMC needs to step up their paint game in the OcMax line, including Terraegis and Artifex.

 

I would love to buy all the cassettes in a box set. I want to get ravage, but I'm only in on this line if they make rumble/frenzy too. I would eve get the oversized laserbeak to suspend in the air, because as others have said, he is too big to be on megatron or sound waves arm.

Any updates MMC?

 

Is MMC doing any more tapes in this scale? From what I've heard they are doing away with the OM line in name only and releasing their MP/larger scale bots under the Reformatted line.

 

Wow,really? I didn't hear that. I really like the ocular max label. I hope they keep the same similar aesthetics.

 

Until we see comfirmation from @LazyAza or someone else associated with MMC, that's just a rumor.

fwiw, I certainly hope they release the rest of the G1 cassette bots.

 

Just because they switched the insecticons over, doesn't mean that everything else is...

 

Didn't they already tease two others ages ago? I swear I recall seeing silhouettes for a rumble n laserbeak I think it was.

And no the OM line isn't going anywhere far as I know. Jess is working on a pretty substantial project for it right now and we have another that will be revealed this year that's been in development longer than Springer has been.

Yeah Laserbeak is pretty far along and has been shown at multiple shows. I'm pretty sure they've only shown Rumble/Frenzy super early renders at this point.

 

Did anyone else have an issue with the hip guns/missiles? I have one in-which the fins won't close together, and then it popped off the pin (which should have been a flat top screw). I was able to reattach it with a drop of glue, but it still sucks that it came off. I still have the issue of the fins not completely closing together.

And the bugs got shifted to reform because, I assume (don't know for sure) ox is viewed strictly for real alt mode stuff and any cybertronian things, regardless of g1-ness or not get put under reformatted? I would assume the stuff in reform that is super g1 would still be held to a relatively more strict scale though like ox is if it happens again. Because the bugs didn't change scale, they're still g1 scale. But being deluxes even as that they work as reform releases too just like how some old classics toys were way more g1 looking than others.

Eh I wouldn't dwell on it too much. Labels just a label, same designers, same company, same factories. Figures vary but its all under the same umbrella really.

 

I'm sort of torn on this guy, he's really nice looking in beast mode but he's going to be out of scale with everything unless I start collecting in life size scale...

 

imo he's perfect scale with MP Soundwave, they look awesome together.
