Figures. I keep checking and find nothing. Today it looked like they hadn't restocked at all.

I checked back at my local store on Wednesday to see if they had restocked Max by chance, or had any other interesting TFs. It was like a bomb hit the toy section, they were wiped out of almost every toy, and no TFs anywhere.

Here's the latest scope for fellow Sacramento, CA.

Since this is the only time of the yr to drive out for xmas shopping n free from other life's obligations, I figured I'd drop $23 on gas n check out a few Ross. Went to ross in Roseville, Carmichael, rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, placervile, natomas, west Sacramento, Lincoln n none had FM! In fact, it looked dried ass fuk!! Perhaps only a select few got it as word on the st cites it. And since there's no mentioning of fellow Sacramento sighting, I think it's safe to say we are not the selected demographic for this hot item.

Hate to spoil your xmas but for those that scored FM, consider yourself fortunate you lucky mofos!!

But hey at least EE has it for $75 free shipping plus tax. So save yourself that gas money cuz I just burned $23 on gas lol

On other note, someone on Facebook posted a receipt showing a purchase of FM for $54.99. The poster claims tru price matched Ross and was honored. I don't know the extent on how the op managed to price match Ross but I was curious myself so I presented the pic to tru and they wanted to confirm with an actual copy of that receipt via tru computer system. Since the pic cut off the tail end which is has the barcode they weren't able to verify its authenticity. They even tried to manually enter the store code and it showed invalid/error on their system.

Unfortunately, I was not granted a FM at that price.

Went to TRU with photographic evidence of the price match.

Clerk says "It has to be on their website, let me check."

Then he comes back and tells me they just don't price match with Ross...

I think the TRU price match was a lucky break. Someone either didn't know the policy or caught the boss on a particularly good day.

That's why the one guy said something different after looking. He normally assumed they only match website prices, checked, learned they don't match specific stores.

Seriously, one of the two TRUs here has FOUR on the shelf, literally gathering a layer of dust... (no sign of FM ever even existing at the other)

I'm this close to ordering a dozen one at a time and then returning all of them to make sure they eat every dollar of that free shipping.

Reason #824 not to order from Entertainment Earth: If you preorder a whopping 8 toys, those thieves will ship 4, charge you shipping, and sit on the other 4 another day or week or month so they can charge shipping again even though all 8 (and then some) were in stock all along.

Edit: I just ran the shipping charges. A 9-pound box going the cheapest method (FedEx Express Saver) runs $55. That's assuming they just slap a label on your box and let FedEx bounce it around bare so it only has a few holes before it's left in a puddle on your doorstep. If they box it up, that's another pound and another $3. You'd think they'd have a commercial shipping account but my helpful representative pointed me to FedEx.com when I asked for a shipping estimate so I can only assume they're happy clearing $20 on the toy. You'd have to be daft to pay what they were asking of distribution clients.

Umm... What? What kind of shipping rates are you going by? There's no way it costs $55 to ship a 9 pound box via ground anywhere in the US. UPS ground or Fedex ground will probably run you about $25 max. Less if you have an account and some discounts.

I went right to the FedEx website as EE ships via FedEx. 40% of Americans live on the east coast. When was the last time you shipped anything as big and heavy as a Titan class TransFormer, let alone cross country? Costs go through the roof past about 4 pounds and it gets worse faster with long distances.

USPS commercial base rate to California for 2lb boxes was $12.80 when I had it and MattyCollector published a similar rate when they used FedEx for MOTU subscriptions. Fort Max is 5 times as heavy and 10 times as large. Doubt they're paying the $55 they would've billed customers but $25 is too far in the opposite direction.

The free shipping is Smart post. It's only billed as Parcel Select.

And you're waaaaayyyy too wound up. I recently shipped a 26 lb electronic drum set for $24 FedEx Ground

I think someone maybe using the incorrect dimensions, as that plays as much as a role as weight does. I can assure you, as someone who has shipped small and large items (both vintage and this new Fort Max), all over the world, there is no way a Fort Max costs $55 to ship within the US. You can use USPS for much cheaper.

Keep in mind, Sellers like EE get a large discount so that is another thing not being factored here.
