Their sale specifically says you cant do that, only order BF specials with other in stock products.

Doesn't matter. $135 shipped is fine.

Mine showed up yesterday and I got to play around with it a bit. While I'm happy to have it, I'm very happy I did not pay retail prices for it.

The core robot is pretty good, but the trailer leaves me underwhelmed overall. The wings/ backpack assembly is cumbersome and don't improve his look that much. I prefer to leave that portion off while he wields the Star Saber. The gantry is a waste as well, as I've already chucked it into storage.

Seraph is pretty bare on it's own accessory-wise so the added weapons from the trailer help. Plus his clear swords are bent (a common problem from what I've seen).

For $134 he's awesome, though not without flaws. A really cool new member of my collection that will be proudly displayed next to Salvia/ Solus Prime.

I got mine today, and I'll echo your sentiments. The core robot is decent, but the translucent Hexatron swords feel like an afterthought, and the revolver that comes with the trailer feels like it should have been packaged with the core robot instead. The gun can even plug into the hole where the trailer connects in alt mode, but the (Hexatron) swords don't store anywhere on the core robot or the trailer in alt mode. I haven't armored him up yet, but I assume they don't have a home when the core robot is armored up, either, although they can fit in the core robot's backpack in the space where the side panels fold in. They seem to hinder the waist articulation there, though, which makes them all the more superfluous.

His hip ratchets could use a more click points, too. He goes from stock straight to fairly wide A stance.

But yes, the core robot is nice; I could even see it repainted as a Cybertronian Optimus, and I'd probably recommend just the core robot if he came with the revolver instead of the swords. The trailer, though, is in no way shape or form worth $100+. Yes, it's big, and yes, it's got lots of plastic, but so much of it is totally wasted given that most people are going to want to armor him up and call it a day. Like Slugslinger, I feel like I paid a fair price for the core robot and the trailer at $120+shipping and I'm happy I got him. I believe some other stores had him for $160, and I think that's maybe starting to push it. $150 (in my head, $100 for the core robot and $50 for the trailer) would probably be the sweet spot. I'm definitely glad I canceled my preorder back in the day, though; I'd have been pissed if I paid $200.

I have the maketoys version and I think it's a much better made toy, they are both very costly. The MT one is a much smaller figure but at least it looks kind of like NovaPrime but this one simply came from Gundam.

Where is the gun stored on the trailer in the packaging? I just opened him but don't see it anywhere.

Ah, attached to the tray. Totally missed that, thanks! Threw me for a loop initially that the trailer had no instructions or anything, because they're all with the core robot.

So far I like the figure, from the initial pictures I was worried most about the length of the neck in armored mode but that seems fine. I am worried about the tolerances in this thing, the claw holding the backpack in place seems like it would break eventually, and the cockpit on the vehicle seems super tight.

Storing his pistol in robot mode in his leg, Patlabor-style...

MakeToys' has a much more accurate robot mode, for sure.

I really like MMC's though, especially how the base robot is more based on Prima, making it its own thing. Both are really nice toys on a shelf.

(Though right now it's just MMC's I have on display; still have most of my collection boxed away waiting to be put on display somewhere)

I like the MT version, but I'm just all-too-familiar with the Battle Tanker and I didn't like the fact that it's just a retooling of the same old thing. Seraphicus does look very Gundam-like indeed.

Etailers didn't want to sell me armor for reasonable price on its own, and I didn't want to pay 200$ at the time so I had gotten only the core. It's ok. They didn't have the parts.

Core is ok, not great, especially the feet have limited ankle tilts due to the side parts, but I really wanted some of the armor parts, such as shoulders and hips, but no one wants to sell me those, not even mmc direct just ignores me :( .

This did turn out to be one of my big mistake purchases, and it's funny, cause it's an mmc product.
I wish....i wish I hadn't bought the core back in January, then i could have had the whole thing for 120$ and choose the armor parts I want, because without any armor, he is lacking, unlike the other mmc products at 85$, instead of being stuck with no one to help me out.

Like @mikeszekely I cancelled my preorder for just the core way back when, so I understand your frustration.

I've been thinking about picking up the ENESS diecast Hexatron swords and giving them to Continuum Hex, but now that I have Seraph I think he would be a much better candidate.

To me, I think the Prima sword is more appropriate for Seraphicus's 'armoured knight' image, while the katanas suit Hex better. Of course, though, your toys, your choice...;)

Yeah, Demonicus had too much bling for my taste. However, its recent release was responsible for stirring up my interest in Seraphicus, leading to my eventual purchase, so it all worked out.

I need some help. I have both the core robot and cradle set for Seraphicus Prominon, but I lost the back piece of the helmet that helps to secure the helmet to the head of the core robot. I reached out to MMC, and they are asking if I have pictures of the missing piece. I never took any pics before I lost the piece, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out and upload a pic of the back piece of the helmet.

I will open another thread to see if that might help get more people to see this.

    Thanks.
