Wow...my local Popeyes, and all of the ones I've eaten at, are great. Maybe they're just better in the south...

Seth, I really hope you weren't referring to any artist who's not hired by a big-name comic company, or I misinterpreted what you said or something, because the thought that you need to be in order to be 'professional' or 'good' is well, ignorant.

    ...

I now have Will Smith's "Getting Jiggy With It" stuck in my head, albeit with "Squiggy" replacing "jiggy."

    God damn it. :banghead:

(The worst part is that I won't even understand why this is being referenced until I listen to this on my Tuesday commute).

I think this one exclusively hires dirtbags to work there.

I meant more like the local person who is just sort of good drawing and set up a table to give it a shot. I don't mean to diss those people either, I guess I was just reaching.

So I popped into a Walgreens here in Tampa that was supposed to have Brainstorms, according to the website.
There weren't any on the shelves so I asked the manager who said he'd check the back.
He came back and told me that he had some but there was some stuff in front of where the toy boxes were stored, and that he didn't feel like moving them.
So...yeah. Just placed an order online.

Also Popeyes is amazing provided you get people who cook food properly :p

Sounds like you guys have some sucky local Popeye's. Every Popeye's I've been to (in the US and outside) has been great. It's my favorite chicken place.

I am really really feeling Mastermind's Tyrannatron. I love the pre and post war parts. I haven't even been following the comics too hard but as a toy guy, I think this is incredible.

Toyworld's Cosmos looks fun. Hope they just messed up the alt. You know what would be awesome? A two pack with a good dumpy Cosmos and lean Cosmos.

I think it's funny that Vangelus finds the name Movor silly but not names like Heptar, Dangar, or Greejeeber.

Also, I don't believe Hoist did anything, important or otherwise, in the G1 comics. He just showed up with a bunch of the other '85 cast and stayed in the background until he was killed by Underbase Starscream. Ironically, Huffer had entire issue to himself

What kind of work do you do Seth? You're always working the OT and have often alluded to difficulty in getting time off, and a high turnover at your place of employment. If it's been mentioned before, apologies, but I'm genuinely curious.

Popeye's best Fried Chicken hands down.

As long as they are cooked liked they supposed to.

I'm kinda torn between which place has the better biscuits Popeye's or Churches.

Never had church's, but IMO, NOTHING beats a fresh Popeyes biscuit (except a red lobster biscuit, but that's not exactly fast food).

I work for a food distributor. It's the sort of job where you have to do everything done everyday regardless of how long it takes. We are so short handed I have to spend more time helping the refrigerated department my regular department is suffering. Where I should be getting off work at 5pm I'm regularly getting out at 7, 8, 9 or later. I get paid overtime but there's a point when I need/ want to do other things like this podcast and I can't always move everything to the weekends.

Ah, ok. I can see how that would really burn you out after a while. Thanks for answering. Always been curious!

This. I'm sure a badly staffed Popeyes would be terrible, but every Popeyes I've been to has been the top tier of fast food.

I love the main thing taken away from this podcast is the quality of Popeye's (which is great here in my neck of the woods of Oregon).

By the way, I'm really digging the looks of Fans Hobby Monsterbots.

There's a possibility I've tried milk and Pepsi more than Popeyes, one tasted like a diet float and the other I only remember the place. Not much of an impression either way.
