The only thing that got me psyched for the delta finale was the white colored Draken (more redeco potential for the DX chogokin !!). Everything else was a major disappointment, the plot is cliched and incomplete. The action is tepid, where's the intense dogfighting scenes that macross was known for ? Nope of that in the finale. Sigh. At least, the white Draken look sweet.
You can still get VF-0S from Amiami for original price. Macross Zero 1/60 Kanzen Henkei VF-0S Phoenix[Arcadia] It's back order. You order it and pay right away and wait 2 weeks for AmiAmi to get it from whole salers.
I want another one but can't justify considering it was close to $100 less during hlj's sale. Need another VF0 of some sort for the upcoming reactive armor though.
Looks like a knight's helm. The orange is the helm itself, the light blue would be the flip down visor with the eye slit outlined in red, with the yellow outline being wings sweeping back from the side of the helm.
Finally saw Ep 26 of Delta subbed and while it is a rush job, I felt pretty emotional at the end. But this story is not complete and it needs a proper ending with a movie or a series of well polished OVAs. If the tv series is all we get of Delta, I'm going to be mighty disappointed. But Kawamori is busy working on his NEXT show.........The Next so who knows what will happen.
Good enough ending to Delta for me. They'll most likely have movie or OVA. Still some unfinished business to address.
I saw Veef's Twitter feed, he didn't seem too happy about this one. Shame, the VF-2 has that great animation model but typical of Valkyries don't do well in plastic. On the side note of Delta, I felt the series just lingered too long on the "will they, won't they" triangles and building towards a very underwhelming antagonist. I give it credit for paying homage to its history with flashbacks to Minmey, Fire Bomber, and even Sharon Apple, but by the end of the series tried too hard to bridge Macross Zero with Macross Frontier. I think the focus on Walkure was too distracting. Macross at its core is about how music and culture are what overcome war, but I think Kawamori had too much Hatsuni Miku with his pineapple salad and it turned into a Sailor Sentai series with fighter jets dancing in the background.
Finished Delta, I enjoyed it. Going to Tokyo next week so I'll be looking for some silly merch, I wonder how popular the series is over there.
I don't know this definitively, but the Yamato and Arcadia VF0s are entirely unique molds with different proportions as a result. I'd assume the armor isn't "backwards compatible" unless evidence appears to the contrary.
