I'd like another figure from Victory to stand with Starsaber so Simba's hard to ignore even with it being from a company with such a sketchy QC record.

The Junkion and Simba prototypes sound like they're decent quality but the fuckup with XTransbots Wheelie V2 is keeping me sceptical over what customers will recieve. I know they're sending out replacement parts for Wheelie but by now they should be getting it right first time and it's tricky to keep making excuses for them.

With Wheelie I don't even know why they needed to make the thighs diecast as that's what created the paint rubbing problem as diecast parts are always prone to that kind of issue. It's like they've included diecast just for the sake of it and that never works out very well.

    stevil33,
Thanks! It's certainly not something I'd have felt comfortable with talking about had I not seen the way this board had been with the other folk who've had to deal with difficult situations, it's such a change from all the BS that occurs in other threads on this site and indeed on other fansites throughout the internet.

Can't speak for XTB Ollie, but I got to handle the KFC Junkion test shots and the retail versions and they're solid. I think the Simba sample I have in hand is pretty much the final thing. Only thing that's gone wrong for me so far is that one of the lion eyes popped out. Fortunately I didn't lose it and it will glue right back in. Annoying but not the end of the world.

Oh, and the lion mode? F**k me. :lol

Thanks for that, I can't see the pics in the thread, but I can see the ones you posted here. Strange!
But seriously, that Devy!?! :jawdropper: :jawdropper: :jawdropper: :jawdropper:
The first pic, and I was thinking, "oh, that's nice", but then the second pic, and I was all "hey, are those MP figures he's playing with?!"
    BLIMEY HE'S BL00DY HEWGE!
And that's a cool BTTF De Lorean Transformer he has too!
Oh wow! I'd really like one! He could sit on the sofa and watch telly with us!

Thanks, alas no not yet. Due to DIY work in the house, there's lots of dust, and coupled with my poorly chest, I've been pretty unwell.
Had to cancel my "lunch out with the girls" tomorrow (Sun), just feel tired and not firing on all 8.
Still, I'm enjoying my red Soar-X! He's lovely! Gotta paint some silver bits on him though.

    Is that good or bad?

Yeah I'm fine but it's going to take months to grow back, also, here you go Vanessa!

    I present a moth aping G2 onslaught!

    IMG_3334.JPG

    Kinda, NITEWOTCH!!

Lol, including graffiti into your sticker sheet would be awesome, and serve to illustrate how huge max is at the same time

I dunno, something about it just feels off (beyond being a KFC product), and the combined modes just don't look good to me, maybe something is wrong with me, this is the first time I've been completely content waiting for an official counterpart, it's such a strange feeling

I vote drift sword, though I went with Gundam swords myself

    Awesome!

Been meaning to ask what software you use to make gifs, I'd love to make some myself

That's how a sound gimmick is done!!! And normally I hate them

    My turn!!!

Long time no post of anything significant. Too much to quote and comment on, but banjoted, Dobbie, jamesy, DisCode, bcm77 et al - maximum respect for some genuinely inspiring and touching stories. Your families and loved ones should be proud.

I have apparently purchased a lightbox while pissed up. Who am I blaming for this one, eh? Anyway, the purchase has impressed and aroused me and it's a good thing as I need both lately. Feeling pretty frayed, work's a monster and time outside it just feels like recovery. That'll pass, it's all a game really, innit. But conscious that time with my family is really limited to my nights off which is a bit of a choker. Literally no fucking idea what to do with my giant white cube once it arrives either. I'll just stare at the box. Then go back to taking photos on top of the freezer again. Or outside. Obvs. Ha, no.. we'll have some fun.

Anyway, some cracking pics across the board too. Again, at least 200 pics i wanna quote from Maz, kgorman, Optimushed, Robotochan, hulk, Dobbie.. everyone I've missed.. banjoted, you fucker, I think it might have been you that spurred my smashed up self onwards with his spending. Awesome stuff mate.

Also, Sixo could make the fallout from a 4am fistfuck in a kebab house look worth getting in on, but his Victory Leo pics are stormers. I said it before, but that's the closest 3P has come to aping Takara's Masterpiece line. Visually, it captures everything Star Saber gets right and looks like an official product alongside him. I need the quality to there.

So yeah, just checking in. Stay sexy. Wipe it till it bleeds. Where are the fucking Asura Knights?!

@ Sponge, I use Imageready, a gif program that comes with Photoshop... Photoshop 7 (!) I am well behind the times with software. Also, do you have a high res version of that Impressionist Farmer Mooselord pic?

Christ these photos are beautiful, I really want to put together a UK Thread book, something we can all have in hard back for a reasonable cost, with perhaps interviews, collections photos etc

I used to run an online design magazine and at its popular height it had a readership of around 500,000! It got all a bit too big for me as it started to blow up, had a corporate sponsor waiting in the wings and I think I just crumbled! But I was pulling together work/interviews etc from all across the globe, doing all the design and putting out a monthly issue - it was daft really.

You can see some of the issues in a compendium here

    The Ampersand Collection

But I'd love to do a one off for the thread - almost a compendium of our tf lives - I made a book for Pam last Christmas which was the Labyrinth script, notes and my illustrations all encased in a hardback book - ''twas awesome!

@tikgnat: ok cool, old tools are fine by me, cheaper that way

Unfortunately the tool that transforms pics into various artistic styles also neuters the resolution, that img was 1600x1108, after processing it dropped to 500x348

I did upload it to my photo bucket, don't think it will make a real difference, but I don't know how the board affects pics anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Nice!

    This is looking amazing!

Thanks! It's hard work but worth it!

I'm expecting a dance between the two of them!

    But why not?! So good!

Let's say you leave that outside the door for Halloween! Scare the shit out of the kids!

Thanks dude I appreciate it! It's still a very touchy subject for people to open up about things but this thread has become a safe haven in various ways.

Murderous Magnus has arrived! His pissed off with the memes and taking it out on the humans!

And here I am in hospital waiting to be seen. Could barely walk let alone turn my damn neck yesterday. So yeah might be a little quiet for a few days. Think I pulled a muscle badly but just waiting to be seen.

Thanks! In the waiting room with my partner in A&E. Chelsea and Westminster is nearest to me but not classed as my local hospital! The problems of London!

Good to see you dude. I empathise with the time poverty - fairly often the only time I really get to myself is about an hour at the end of the day, by which time time I can barely function anyway. As an only child I grew up being very comfortable with my own company, and in fact needing a bit of 'me time' every day. It's just not really possible anymore. I sometimes find it a bit of a strain but, y'know, I ain't fucking moaning 'cos I'm a lucky bastard. It has kind of come to be that the alternate weekends my girl spends with her mum are complete downtime for me - few outings, little housework, just lazing and recharging those batteries.

Wow, that's really impressive dude. I've been slowly beavering away in the background here trying to align the pieces needed for me to put together a trial issue of this TF magazine I've been chatting about on and off. Am hoping to get my teeth stuck in once work's done with, see how it goes. If nothing comes of it then that's cool, but figure I've gotta give it a shot, see what sort of time and skill sink it requires and see what the revenues could be like. I've been in publishing for over 10 years but will really need to brush up on my design skills if it's gonna happen.

Ah shite dude, that sucks. Best of luck with that mate.
