Wow! I had ttally forgot all about this. heh. Downloading it now. I cant wait to see how it sounds. I hope i can play it via spotify local playlist.
Okay listening to it now. I'm officially blown away. this is a real treat. really. i never thought I'd see the day when i could listen to the music of the old cartoon without voices and lasers and such. really great job. Thanks so much for doing this. My only literal complaint is i wish some of the music could have been extended. but other than that. it's perfect!
That don't play on Android devices. Congratulations on remastering audio, but damn if the distrobution isn't flawed. I've downloaded the zip on three different Android devices with the latest OS and nothing can play the files. I have no PC to use instead.
I can't say thanks enough for this kind fan putting in so many hours of work for this. For someone who was there from day one when this hit the airwaves on Sept 17, it truly is the soundtrack to my childhood. Listening to a clean version of it really transports me back. I'm extremely grateful... and listening as we speak. As for the official remaster project, I hope to goodness it comes to fruition. It was revealed that they had vault tapes from the orchestra recordings in excellent condition... and that a 5:1 surround sound mix was also planned. Heaven knows I will buy that when the day comes. BUT until then, this will hold me over quite well. A million thanks!!
Well I downloaded the .zip files and nothing will unzip them it just says invalid file folder I've tried multiple online programs as well as the two I had installed already - none of them work (the file size matches so it is a complete file) - so anyone know what they actually used that can unzip it - I don't mind downloading a small program to do it as that would be quicker than trying to do it online which would likely take me an hour or 2 to upload & download again. And I still have to convert all the files to MP3 so they will play in my car - this is becoming quite an adventure.
Android users of TFW2005, I converted the unplayable .wav files into FLAC. Was able to get them to play using the stock player on my Android device, so they "should" work. Also embedded some cover art (a modified version of Shout Factory artwork for Season 1) and properly tagged each track. FLAC: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_pOcbYtCrXGVHRQMmJGanZNSlk and because I'm a nice guy ... MP3 (320 Kbps): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_pOcbYtCrXGQ1BTQW5VMENreFE
Thank you so much for this! The .wav zip folder was 600 megs and almost killed my phone's memory! I couldn't unzip it due to no more memory being available. Could you convince the original people that made this wonderful remaster to include mp3 version, too? This is the mobile age, and wavs, although of a higher quality, really can't cut it for most people, and those people might not have the memory on their devices to convert wavs to mp3 and/or own a pc to do it. Cheers for saving me and my phone!
If anyone wants to say what they used to unzip the folder - i'd like to know as it won't unzip on anything i've tried so far.
Use WinRAR. It has a free trial and worked fine for me: WinRAR download and support: Download And my thanks as well to Jimbo and Zobovor for their unending persistence to create these music files. They are magical!
If you're planning on doing the rest of the series, I'm very much looking forward to season 3. I loved how they incorporated the score from the movie into it. Thanks for all your hard work!
Well I tried it on WINRAR and at least if gives more info it says "Archive is corrupt" I guess I'll be downloading it for a 4th time then. (EDIT) Well the Google Drive thing was a no-go either it does nothing it spends an hour or two looking like it's doing something only that something isn't actually downloading the files it takes like 1 hour or more converting them and won't allow me to save them it just wants you to put them on a google drive which then means I'd have to download them again so that would be what 4 hours wasted. Zip files are the spawn of Unicron
The soundtrack was one of the best aspects of the G1 cartoon, all the tunes were incredibly catchy and memorable, even for a guy like me who wasn\'t raised alongside that show and only watched it a couple of years ago.
