the only thing i dont like about uw computron is hes kind of an odd man out among my standard scale combiners, him and sky reign are the only two withough aux limbs, even foc ruination has one, but ive also given both of them two legends figures, computron got cosmos and payload, sky reign got tav override and g2 powerglide

Speaking of magic changes in character models, the Technobots have that season 1 disease that makes vehicle mode kibble disappear in robot mode.

"Phantom Kibble Syndrome" is a serious disease that affects 1 out of 5 Cybertronians.

 

Lol , true , every character ( regardless of how imperfect the design ) some how , magically has a perfect form , frame ect ....It`s great .... PROTECTOBOT GROOVE is a perfect example .

Okay, my turn! I see white, reddish brown/ almost maroon on arms and shins, and darkish orange with a hint of brown on the rest of the legs, sort of like what could be called burnt pumpkin.

 

Seeing this, I can only speak for myself, and quote Krustybrand products motto, 'Not just Good, but Good Enough'.

It's funny reading all these posts from non-hastak employed desk jockey's about colors being wrong on a children's toy, offered to us by the official distributor of said product. Takara says this is the color nosecone is supposed to be... That should be the end of the debate right there.

Everyone is welcomed to their own opinions, but remember they are just that... Cartoon accuracy and 80's brickbot colors are not cannon, but just the characters depiction at that time. This is that characters current configuration from the official channel itself.

I for one appreciate everything our self-entitled asses are handed each year, instead of bitching about what I would want a company to do to make an item perfect in my eyes only.

OK, rant over... Screw opinions, and appologies to those offended.

 

My opinion is basically the same as far as the colors go. Takara says hey, this is the color...it is the color. They have access to much more than Google can bring us, so, just like the scale guide for Masterpiece...the brand belongs to HasTak...they have all the bibles, model sheets and a lot of other info we just don't... If they say, it's officially this...it's this.

The Sunbow toon had Nosecone shown in the colors of the set more than once, the Nosecone in the Headmasters appearances are the the color of the set... Yes he was shown in the darker colors too, but not to my knowledge in the Japanese ones...which is apparently what Takara focused on. Besides that, the models they have access to probably showed the Orange and Brown.

As far as I'm concerned officially this is the color of the UW Nosecone as set by Takara, and from scenes in the toon...it is correct. I see why they did Lightspeed in different shades, to break up what would be a lot of the same color or shade of color, same reason the tried different shades on Dragstrip, but here it's much more noticeable. I like the colors on the toy myself. I would have preferred Afterburner a bit more Orange, but I still like it too.

 

Well...be on the lookout for duplicates of Strafe's guns. I have the same exact duplicates as Stryker055. Maybe someone has duplicates of the opposite guns?

Other than this, UW Computron is great. TT did a great job.

 

AMEN ! I totally love the look and direly need to own that Takara variant of NoseCone. , and yes we should be grateful , I can go out and still buy some thing I have loved since a kid ! .... awesomeness .
