When Seth said "it tastes just like birthday cake" he sounded like Mitch Hedberg. Do that more often. :)

With regards to the possibility of passing voice actors, the easy guess for Optimus Prime would be to use Gary Chalk or David Kaye depending on what kind of take they're going for. But just in general, I'd be down for Kevin Michael Richardson doing more work regardless of who he voices - he earned his place as Bulkhead.

Ok, so movie speculation - They're going to adapt the Man of Iron uk comic story, In medieval times they come across the man of iron as 'the first knight' and he gets dug up in modern times.

I am the Grim Reaper of voice actors... mwaaahahahahaha.

I was actually referring to a YouTube video of a roundtable discussion of some G1 VAs. When was the last time Arthur Burghardt voiced Devastator? But okay. I'll play angel of death for the narrative. Jerks.

Yeah, Hasbro's TR PM Optimus Prime really looks underwhelming. TT's attempt looks like it hits that "PM OP was OP" sweet spot for me.

DS9 and Overwatch, now we're off-topic-ing my language.

I also just got the DX9 Kup and Arcee in. I'm a little underwhelmed and I totally agree on the vehicle modes feeling unfinished. Kup's transformation is really ingenious, but after my experience with this and their Megatron, I'm probably not going to leap on every DX9 pre-order from here out. They're good, but I'm less impressed than I was with their earlier efforts (and Hulkie, who is still delightful).

I have to agree with Seth, and have thought this myself since Transformers: Prime. Optimus Prime has become really boring and dull. It's almost like the writers have this imaginary idea of what Prime was like in the G1 cartoon, and it's not accurate. He certainly didn't avoid contractions and some of the verbal slagging between him and Megatron were worth a laugh.

I'd love to have Prime back with some joy de vivre.

Sigh, that show was such a waste of potential.  Megatron was fun, Optimus was almost fun.  They both came to work, but I\'m with Vangelus thinking Machinima gave Bailey no peace.

You know, there was a period where Peter Cullen himself was a fill-in for another voice actor, an actor with a bit of a country twang to his voice, and it suggests to me a great Optimus Prime casting: Gary Sinese. He can be commanding, distraught, even threatening. He's got an iconic voice and tons of range. So, he gets my vote as next Optimus.

I'm going to pretend that Seth jokingly saying "your mother's a Ho!" during the all knowing fan segment was an intentional layered pun on Vangelus' surname
