Okay that looks impressive but A) I vastly prefer the WFC design. B) I'll pass if it doesn't transform. C) The WFC deluxe is a really good figure and I'm not certain I want a FOC version to replace him.

I actually kind of like how beeftacular the FoC Optimus looks. I'm not crazy about the FoC game design (agree with Rexidus is preferring the WfC one) but this overtly roided-out take on it somehow works for me. I'm generally not into Transformers that don't transform either, but I'll admit that, as with Ultimetal Prime, I cannot deny that these Teppeki Gokin figures do look kinda neat. Looking forward to seeing the reviews of the G1 Optimus, because if he turns out well I may just have to give this line a try.

Bleh, not really a fan of it. The ginormous shoulder pads ruin it for me. Doesn't help that I already dislike the ridiculously bulky look of Optimus in the game.

Even if the sculpt is nice and we can ignore that it doesn't transform, I still don't understand why anyone would get this. i It's about 18ninches tall, costs a few hundred quid, has LEDs for the eyes but NOWHERE ELSE? Didn;t the WFC/FOC toys have glowing red/light blue/purple parts all over them? Why make a massive statue that doesnt transform and then ommit a key design feature?

Easy pass. Hasbro, please stop with the non-transformable statues. Just liscence official third party Transformers. We fans don't care if it makes your own official efforts look like arse. Just remember that if you don't, unofficial third party companies will make them anyway. You might as well get a slice of the profits.

Aye :)  Despite it not transforming, I have a weakness for that FoC & WfC aesthetic. It truly does look amazing

Very true. However, there a few people that buy Hulk for the Banner aspect. On the other hand, many get into Transformers figures because of their transforming gimmick (in addition to the their other features).

WfC Optimus was that one that did for me. But I practically lost it when I saw the Combaticons and Dinobots done in this aesthetic

I also agree with you: it IS good to see FoC get some love. I wish they got more love on an official capacity again (yes, HasTak, that was aimed toward you all :p  :lol ), but I am also very content with the love FoC/WfC is getting from the 3rd Party department. Who knows, maybe later on HasTak will expand the MP line with FoC/WfC figs one day (wishful thinking from my end).

Transformizing should upsize their add-ons for this!

Personally never really cared for most of the "of Cybertron" designs due to how unflattering they look from the front compared to the mass of detail on the back, and FOC prime exemplified that problem for me... with these proportions though I can almost forgive that, but not nearly enough so to buy into.

Also are there really so many people in this day and age who are STILL hung up on the non-transforming transformer thing?! The age of Action Masters is long behind us, and besides I bet there's a good chunk of fans out there who have shelves stacked to the brim with Tranformers toys who's alt mode will never see the light of day anyway!

Transformazing was dead from launch :lol

Considering that's their main gimmick since launch? YES, many do not like non-transforming Transformers. Why even bother call them Transformers then if they can't? :p

Why be so uptight about it when you likely WON'T be transforming them anyway?

Except it's not a statue it has over 90 points of articulation. That alone blows away any MP let alone the detail. You should be asking TT and Hasbro why we don't have MP with the same amount of detail and articulation. Oh wait I know why because the engineering required for Transformation hinders articulation. Prime's robot imageis iconic it's not like it's a highly detailed version of his alt mode.

Besides there's MP10 to satisfy everyone's transforming needs.

I didn't know the fandom is this anal.

Who said I won't? There IS a reason I stand by transforming Transformers. It's part of the reason I buy them, so I can transform them (call it part of their charm). I actually do so every 4-5 days or so (all 60+ figs).

    You have NO idea :lol

Yea, seriously. Especially since it looks like Takara is not planning on giving us an actual Masterpiece Megs anytime soon. At this point, I'd settle for even a large "Action Master".

    HELL YES!

So they've upsized FoC Optimus too to 40ish cm.

Not sure if they will do more FoC stuff, but i won't mind skipping Optimus and just get FoC Optimus to fight G1 Megatron.

G1 Megatron confirmed for December 2017 release but no date for FoC Prime yet as it is still in the prototyping stage.

I am also committed to ThreeA G1 and TLK line already.

Between their Megatron, Nemesis Prime and now FOC Prime, I'm wondering where the hell can I put all of this marvelous stuff.
