Yeah to corroborate QuinJester, Green Giant is the height Green Giant is. Nothing you can do o make him taller.

I don't know about that, maybe you could ask someone on shapeways to design some adapters to stick between the ports that connect Scrapper and Mixmaster to Long Haul.

I've been saying for awhile there needs to be a height-boosting upgrade kit. If anyone finds some answers, please post. He needs pumped up by about an inch and he would be fine.

As far as this figure was engineered, it is almost perfect. It was designed and produced at a time when making larger figures may not have been cost effective for the young 3rd Party Make Toys.

There are no "kits" to improve it. It is almost perfect.

The concept of Hook's crane boom as a weapon is fantastic. Ax, hammer, staff, whatevs. The character shouldn't have a gun. He should have melee weapons as he destroys citys from Cyerbertron to Earth... LOL

I would certainly buy a KO upscaled version of this set in the same vein of Ares KO...

It's ONLY flaw IMO is it's deluxe / leader class size. I LOVE the voyager / titan size of current figures...

Long Hauls bot mode is brilliantly proportioned with bulky arms and clobbering block fists. And I dont mind slight parts forming if the modes look this good...

Still my favorite combiner. To me, it captures G1 and combines it with modern engineering and MT's own animesque style perfectly

and the box design is sex

Mine is excellent. Extremely impressed with it, and would buy it again in a heartbeat. I don't have the original to compare it to, but the quality of my KO is high enough that if someone told me it was really just a factory reject, I could believe it (except it doesn't have any glaring issues that I could see it being rejected for, apart from a single loose shoulder on Long Haul).

To be fair, on the Giant thread a little while ago, someone else said that their copy was loose and floppy all over the place, so I don't know if I just got lucky, or if he just got unlucky, I just know that I really couldn't be happier with mine, especially at the price (around 150, IIRC).

Thanks for the info. I'm debating on purchasing this VS trying to get one on eBay for around $200. If the joints are strong and no other differences I will snatch up the KO.
I just haven't seen any reviews of the KO (in English). I would like to see one if anyone has one.
Thanks again for the input, bro.

I'll let you know when it gets here. Honestly, though, given the actual Maketoys one is a little older now I'm thinking I'll be pretty forgiving. I don't expect it to hold up to ToyWorld's or GT's, but due less than a third the price I don't mind.

I prefer the MT combiner size for my non beast combiners but after giant and fp bruticus upgrades I stop buying non beast, I would've jump at FP had they done intimidator in masquerade colors/remold, I have the first yellow giant and he's one of my fav combiners that I own if not fav tied with feral rex, I really should get quantron since I like his bow and arrow weapon design

$150 for even a KO isn't a bad deal. Giant has always been my preferred 3P Gestalt anyways, as others have said he has the most G1 flare of any other 3P. I would love to see pics of the KOs

I have the ko. The joints are not loose but not strong either. A few things I'll make note of are that the screws seem really cheap. They strip easily and many of them are already stripped from factory installation. Also, there are some errors in paint applications and devys leg was broken out of the box but it still plugs in very well place; I'll crazy glue when I'm less lazy.
Overall, I'm still very happy with the 150 i spent when it was on sale at tf-direct. I wish he was taller to fit in with other maketoys and fansproject combines. I'm currently working on some shapeways add-ons to make him taller. Hopefully that works out without making his proportions too wonky.

Thanks for the info. I think I will wait to get a official MT set on evilBay for $200 if it has those problems. It would be great to also get a slight lift to him to make him the same height as M3/guardia/FP brut.

Hey everybody, I was just taking my Giant out of storage (that's what she said) when I realized I'm missing the engine block thing for their not-Scrapper ... Needless to say I'm devastated (ok, I'll stop) ... Any suggestions on how to get my hands on this one dastardly piece w/o sacrificing arm/leg/first-born child??

I just got this guy... I can't believe this is a four year old 3P combiner. He's so sturdy and cohesive.
