A couple years back there were a series of disputes with dock workers and short distance truckers at the port facilities at Long Beach California. A huge chunk of cargo from Asia goes through there. Strikes and work stoppages cause back logs and other problems.

 

Wow...that bad huh? Its taken that long to recover? What was it over?

 

Variety of reasons, the one that stuck with me was the short distance truckers. These are truck drivers that drive loads from the docks to railroad depots. Essentially the companies wanted to make them independent contractors, and wanted them to own and maintain their own trucks all while paying them as little as possible. Not pleasant. I can see it playing havoc with distribution, shipping companies diverting to other ports, distributing from different rail lines. Given how much cargo is involved, I can see it taking a while to sort out.

 

Ouch.

 

I can't be the only one thinking this megs mold was made for blitzwing can I? I mean you can even see that the wings can flip out in robot mode this has to be blitzwing I mean seriously

 

Everyone already thinks that. This is a Blitzwing figure pre-tooled into Megatron. I doubt there is a single person who doesn't know that, the same way we all knew Sentinel Prime was a pre-tool of Astrotrain.

Somewhere along the line, Hasbro realized they have a better chance of selling both figures to more people if they release the alternate version first and the main intended version second. It's almost amazing they didn't figure this out years ago.

 

anyone know whether bumblebee will get a cliffjumper repaint? that would be so sweet

 

Oh he will. Hasbro can't resist those sweet sweet dollars.

 

I'd be more than happy to spend dollars for a cliff! actually they should make about 5-6 repaints, this is a sweet mold

 

Eh. I'll just get the previous Legends Cliffjumper as I need the Roller Drone for Nemesis Prime. That leaves Bumblebee open for purchasing.

 

The rumours only have him redeco'd into chase. There are 0 cliffjumper rumours.

 

It would be nice to get a Cliffjumper that could be repainted/tooled into Hubcap for once. Back to Megatron, I wonder how they are going to pull off the cockpit chest for the Blitzwing retool. Other the the jet mode, there is nothing that really screams Blitzwing as it is now.

 

Chase?? nooo I don't want a blue headed cliffjumper, especially if we're not getting all 6 throttlebots

 

Question is would they remold the head for chase?
