Other than Movie figures Hasbro has never had precise release dates they always give a month for when it should come out.

How exactly are we back to the days of the FOC toys?

Still better than most of AoE's toys, though.

And you're restating the exact argument that was going on with CW Optimus Prime because...?

In fact, ignoring the tank mode, I'd like to point something out - don't those look like suspiciously familiar details on the left and right sides of Megatron's head?

And is this toy not rather conspicuously a VOYAGER F-14 TOMCAT?

Hmm, I distinctly recall people seeking something like a Voyager F-14 tomcat for some reason or another...if Cloud made a repainted Generations Blitzwing work as Starscream on a MiG style plane, then this is the closest shot to a Voyager Starscream at Generations level ever made.

My god, a complain about that mold that isn't the shoulders! :lol

Extremely unlikely since they love Headmasters over there.

He doesn't - if you look at the toy's back, they just hang there.

But then shouldn't the Doubledealer retool have that problem since his head is about the same size WITHOUT the face switch gimmick?

I disagree. Here's Lione right next to Gnaw, and you can tell where Gnaw's head and 'neckplate' (for the lack of a better term) end up because the latter is a neon blue.

Additionally, the lower jaw has to articulate as part of transformation as does the upper jaw, because you can see the panel halves sitting behind his legs.

The mouth itself is hollow and you can open up the jaw. In a line where every single toy has to have some functionality with the tiny headmasters...why wouldn't you have something like Gnaw be able to visibly chew on somebody else's head? It doesn't even need to attach anywhere in the mouth so long as it can fit!

They really need to fix this.

Ever since that dock strikes last year, it's been whack.

Is there actually no real on the floor coverage of what Hasbro is offering up for the rest of the toy line? The stuff that was shown for preview day...that's it? This is all they got this year?

I guess keep expecting to see some serous SDCC 2016 transformers coverage where they roll out the new optimus prime, trigger happy or the sizshot. Just different this year, for Hasbro, I guess.

Here's what I don't get, Hasbro has a booth, and TFW had people there, so why not just go to the booth and ask the Hasbro people out right?

Hasbro are attending more shows now so they have less at each one, they're doing Cybertron Con in Shanghai next weekend so we may see the other half of wave three there.

I've seen every wave of CW Deluxes and Legends, all but the last Wave of Voyagers, the one with Sky Lynx and all the Leaders except Skywarp here in lower Michigan. So basically, I've seen every CW figure but two in an actual store.

Believe it or not, that was actually 2 years ago now... And yes, distribution has never recovered from what I can tell.

The Megatron mold is so obviously Blitzwing, it's not even funny. Right down to the thrusters being in the front part of the tank.

With a little remolding, the Megatron mold could be released as Broadside. I, for one, would love to see that.

Even when they give a month that is still only for the lucky locations that actually receive the figures on time. I've been checking the sightings section and Sky Lynx is not to be found in my state outside of a Ross or two. With people wondering if the figure will ever appear in the wild the cheapest you can find Sky Lynx on Amazon is for about $50.

Hasbro and their retail partners need a system where fans don't have to be as paranoid about if they will ever see figures or not.

Seeing this new Voyager Megatron definitely reminded me of Broadside, at least because it's a triple changer with a solid appearance, and both characters have a similar colour palette, That last similarity would make it highly unusual for them to choose Broadside as the retool, even if it were an extensive one.

Like others have said, this mold seems most likely fit for Blitzwing. If he were to forego this Megatron's cannon, the plastic deficit could reasonably be made up with his sword and comparatively smaller gun. With this in mind, I quickly started figuring out the transformations of this mold, and while the broad strokes are obvious, the rotation of the shoulders with the wings and arms seems more interesting, though I'm still not entirely sure how the jet cockpit might rotate to the chest while leaving the turret on the back to best represent Blitzwing. I wouldn't be surprised if the torso is made of several rotating segments, like Classics Optimus Prime, to achieve the versatility of the Sunstreaker/Sideswipe, etc. mold.

Much as I would love to see Broadside, seeing this obvious Blitzwing candidate made me wonder pretty quickly if these guys also had a TR Voyager Octane up their sleeves, though it would be anyone's guess as to he'd be retooled into, especially since the leaders of both factions are getting the triple changer treatment now.

If I could hope for anything from a new Broadside toy - or if the right people read this, haha - then it might be a Leader Class figure. In Titans Return they've all had base modes, and yet it could be argued that this, with a hull underneath - however token an effort it may be - could pass as Broadside's carrier mode, or whatever other warship they might wish to make him into.

Broadside will probably a new mold that will also be used for the Tidal Wave that was mentioned in the Transmissions leak thread.

It seems that by the time this line is done all the G1 triple changers will be redone except Springer and Sandstorm.

Probably that Prime that was shown on the back of Meg's packaging.

Yeah, perhaps I should have said "now both leaders are getting the Headmaster treatment" since it's hard to tell from the back of package photo, and the deco guide leaked awhile back now, if that Voyager Optimus will be a triple changer. If not, he would certainly be the odd one out from what we've seen so far. While I would like to think he could be a triple changer, all I can see is that he has a lot of truck details, with chunky tanker legs and what is presumably the cab on his back. If that mold is concealing plane kibble, it's dong so quite well, at least from the angles we've seen it, though that's exactly what the upcoming Voyager Megatron's done!
