A red and white jet... I think Starscream should keep his distance. The fusion cannon on the bottom makes Megs look like a cross between Starscream and (G1) Blitzwing!

If Sentinel Prime became Astrotrain, it's very obvious that Megatron will become Blitzwing. He's way more Blitzwing than Megatron.

We do not need inside sources for this.

 

I'm pretty sure the Transmissions podcast mentioned that the Megatron is also Blitzwing back before Megatron was confirmed.

 

Legends Sharktcon Gnaw and Bumblebee just look so damn good.

 

I think they did in the following episode revealing him.

Actually, that doesn't suprise me in the slightest. Back in 1987 there was a conceived Megatron/Skywarp triple changer.

Sooo... Was this it? I've been stalking ToyArk since last Wednesday and all I've seen are the pics here.

Between this, no MOTUC/CG and no Monsterarts being shown, I feel really deflated.

 

Yeah they sure kept it pretty tame and lame. Seems a bit strange to me.

 

Yeah, Transformers toys really didn't make the big splash I expected they would.

Gnaw: Best reveal.
Bumblebee & Megatron: Nice to see but just more toys in the litany of toys of those characters we already own.
Titanmasters: Nice but no WOW.
Brainstorm: Nice to hear he'll be available at Walgreens, I guess.
Lio Kaiser: Just a better look at something we knew was coming and had kind of seen before, thanks to a prior "oops".
Prime, Sixshot and Fangry: An "oops" that will make us feel the same way about Lio Kaiser when these get full reveals. They really should have been at the show. Sixshot would have been the talk of the town.

 

Are Monsterarts ever shown at Comic-con?

I don't know what there really is to be shown in regards to Monsterarts: it seems pretty clear to me that they've decided to play it safe with the line and focus on different iterations of Godzilla rather than other monsters.

 

Gnaw = sold

Megatron: man, I like and I'll buy it but if they announce a Blitzwing repaint I'll be saving my money for that instead.

 

I'm not sold on Megatron, those stickers look out of place and he looks very "plastic-y" and what's with the cannon? Top half is hollow. Pass

 

Two theories on that.

1.) Hasbro got fed up of the Transmissions leaks so they decided to hold off for a bit on releasing them.

2.) Cybertron Con is this weekend, they may have wanted to save some stuff for that. China is the bigger market for them ultimately.

 

The mold screams Blitzwing. Almost as much as the Sentinel Prime mold screams Astrotrain. This seems to be Hasbro's newest sales tactic. Release the repaint first, then release the character the mold was actually made for.

I'm glad, too, because this mold looks miles better than the awful mess known as 30th Anniversary Blitzwing. Everyone who bought that disaster should have gotten a refund and a written apology.

I do like this mold as Megatron, though I wish they had done everything in that darker gunmetal grey instead of two different shades. Also, what the hell is that hollow-looking piece of plastic on the side of his tank mode? If it's supposed to be a gun, the design team failed miserably.



I'm also digging the Legends Starscream. May have to pick him up. The new design has grown on me.

 

Those are Warriors, not Legends.

 

That is a gun for Titanmasters to sit in most deluxes and voyagers have one.

 

Ah.

 

I have a strong and sad feeling that Legion Windblade will get retooled into Starscream.
