    Well, after seeing the reveals on here, my wallet’s going to take a pounding over the next year… and MMC are taking the majority of it, it seems. I’ve listing 6 definite purchases, 3 probable, and 2 maybe’s.

    Definite, with no explanation needed:
    Fanstoys Phoenix (Jetfire);
    MMC Terraegis (Trailbreaker);
    MMC Turben (Whirl)… even though I have Generations Whirl and think he’s great;
    MMC Lazerbeak;
    MMC Rumble;
    MMC Anubis (Death’s Head).

    Probable:
    Maketoys Downbeat (Jazz), depending on what happens (if anything) with Hova, and whether it’ll have the door wings or not (I like them);
    MMC Girder (Grapple), as I wanted a slightly different, more slimline mold to the Maketoys Hellfire I already have, but I’d still like to see what XTransbots and HasTak have up their sleeve;
    Toyworld Hoist, again as I’d like a slightly different mold than the MMC one, and I think this mold works for Hoist more than the MMC one does, but it depends on what kind of size he is knowing Toyworlds scale is a bit out of whack with everything else at the moment.

    Maybe:
    Toyworld Cosmos, only if we don’t see an OS Generations Cosmos released… he’s very G1 accurate, but this is one time that could be held against the figure.
    Maketoys Despotron (Megatron), as I already have Apollyon and like him, but I really need to see an alt mode for this first.

    With everything else we know is going to be released soonish, this is going to be an expensive year.

    I know, right!

    Everytime I see that Megatron my eyes pull off a "puss in boots" and I hear lional Richie's "Hello" in my head.
    He looks amazing!

    That Nova Prime upgrade looks great but its funny how we havent heard anything from Beelzeboss about the Spiritual Leader upgrade kit for so long and now they come out with a bunch more new stuff. I was starting to wonder if they were still in bizness.

    My favorites are:

    MMC Whirl
    MT Optmus Prime (new line)
    FT Skyfire
    MT Megatron

    Not sure which ones I can make happen, but these are my top 4.

    The only things I've been telling myself that I could order this year was PE Optimal Optimus, and MMC's Obsidian and Strika, but I've already gone ahead and preordered FT's Skyfire and looking at other bots as well.

    So much for spending less this year.

    Just curious. Did you see(know) that hoist/trailbreaker have two chest configurations?
    [IMG]
    so you can have one hoist with one and trailbreaker with the other. That's what I plan on doing at least.

    I just finally ordered MMC's Jaguar. If I like him, I'll likely order their version of Rumble and Laserbeak. I'm generally fine with the official Takara cassette figures, but their robot modes are a bit too small for my display, and I want something larger.

    Phoenix/Skyfire is a definite order for me, as long as his QA/QC is fine and Takara doesn't announce an official one before his release.

    MP Trailbreakers are finally a comin'! Yeee-haw!

    I didn't know that, no... but it's very interesting. I was thinking more along the lines of the arm kibble and ankle wheels on the Toyworld version... it just says "Hoist" to me more than the MMC mold does.

    I was more interested in the conference exclusives than most of the new figures announced.

    Seeing a complete full-color TFM Havoc Menasor would have been interesting.
    Or MakeToys announcing their next Quantron/Guardia/Giant scale combiner.

    Neither of those happened.

    So, random question, do maketoys and fanstoys have a KFC/X-transbots style relationship? I ask for several reasons (including the obvious "toys" in both of their names), first off, keeping in mind that I've only ever handled ft's insecticons and reflector, they have very similar feeling plastic to maketoys remaster releases. Then there's fanstoys using a maketoys product to show off their werewolf, and the fact that they chose to lead with a headmaster that maketoys hasn't tackled and shows no sign of tackling, even though it's probably towards the bottom of the list as far as headmaster popularity goes.

    Pretty positive they don't.

    It was FansProject that had any sort of relation to MakeToys.

    Hmmm, odd, maybe they've got some kind of deal worked out with the headmasters then, one does the autobots, the other does the decepticons (not counting the triple changers).
