Yeah, and you know he'll come in a slick small but beautiful box, with full color instructions and artwork (BadCubes packaging makes me feel like I'm opening limited edition games or collectibles).

I would buy a two-pack with Pipes in a heartbeat.

    ^^Same here^^
I actually enjoy going through their instruction manual cover to cover.
I have v1 Huff & all I can do with it is display it on my shelf. I don't dare try to transform it.

Honestly, go into not even caring. Like, be like "**** it" and start transforming. I assure you 100% if you're not nervous about breaking anything, it'll all go smoothly as long as you don't manhandle it. :)

If you wanna give him 50% more playability, future/floor polish up all his joints (it helps immensely!). Also coat all his blue paint in future.

You'll be good to go until 2.0!

I understand future/floor polishing the joints (actually I find clear nail polish works better for me) but what would coating his blue paint do, give it a glossy finish?

Also I would like to to touch-up painting on his light blue thighs on the spots where paint flaked off. Obviously I want to use a small paint brush. What color # or type of blue should I go with to get the same color match if I want to go with Tamiya acrylic paint?
I was thinking of going with Tamiya Acrylic XF-23 Light Blue 23ml Bottle of Paint # 81323

What do you guys think? Will it match this...?

If Tamiya has no such version of the blue I need, what brand would you recommend?

Also what is the best product to use to clean my paint brush when I'm done or to avoid mixing up paints?

Painting all the painted areas with future has stopped mine from turning into a flakey mess. When I first took him out of the box there wasn't any flaking paint (yet). I coated all the painted areas with future and he held up awesomely for like a year.

I noticed a few spots where some slight flaking occurred. I then reapplied future and he was good for another year. I was messing around with my detolfs the other day, and figured it would be a good time to reapply (didn't notice any new flaking but it's been awhile); let him dry and all is well so far :D

    See this thread:

I still recommend Model Master Ocean Gray, as I did on that thread. It's an almost perfect match! My Huff looks awesome now.

Thanks guys. What do you recommend for cleaning paint off the paintbrush when I'm done or to avoid mixing paints?

You keep a jar of water around when you're painting, right? Just dip it into that and wipe with tissue paper/kitchen roll.

For brushing cleaning/care, I've heard Pink Soap is good.

For tamiya acrylic, I find that a small cup, some warm water and a cloth are all I need to clean my brushes. Swash the brush in the water a bit, then stroke the brush on the cloth to dry. If any paint is left, repeat the process.

Very fast, clean, cheap and easy.

Works for most acrylics. Does not work with enamel. I tend to hate enamel and try my best to stick to acrylics for its ease of use.

I have a Huff up for sale on my sales thread. Check it out!
I repainted his chest due to flaking out of the box. I tightened his hip & thigh joints. I will post pics on my sales thread hopefully later tonight.

Once Huffer 2.0 is released (and Ollie 2.0), I won't be selling the originals.

One, because I know I wouldn't get much for them if at all, and two; I can have the 1.0's sit in alt-mode. I usually *never* Double down (don't have the cash for that kind of craziness), but these guys will be an exception.

    Looking forward.

It woes me to part with this guy as he was my intro to 3P and I painstakenly repainted his chest piece, and tightened up his joints. I gotta make room on my shelves so I'm slowly adopting (err, selling) out my 3P figures.
Looking forward to living vicariously through pictures of this guy if and when he gets re-released.

So it's only taken me a couple of years but I finally finished the repairs on this guy. He chipped (badly) right out of the box and many of his joints were a loose mess. I managed to fix the joints and sand him down but then he got put on hold for personal reasons. Anyway, now with proper joints, sanding and a few fresh coats of paint (quite surprised that I managed to match his original paint shade exactly) I have one last thing to fix but I need a little help.

The rotating panel (rear truck window) that holds the weapon in storage has no real way of being held in once you open the roof. So it constantly falls off during transformation. Has anyone come up with a fix for this? I have an idea (drill holes and insert pins) but I'm curious to see if anyone else has a good solution.

    Too me :(

But I did you guys a favor and overpaid for an MISB Huff over the weekend, so pre-orders for the improved 2.0 should be opening any minute now.

Haha, I washed my truck this weekend so it will probably rain today.
