I thought I put it out front that I was only halfway into season 2 and had heard it gets better as it goes. My opinions were only based on what I have seen so far and I didn't think I was ranting. If I wasn't interested in seeing the rest I wouldn't still be going. Sure it's sort of a background show for me but whatever, at least I'm giving it a chance right?

Some thoughts about what I was hoping to see at the tail end of Combiner wars

Both Seeker teams - the 3 OG Seekers and the Coneheads. The Tak Galvatronus just makes me want that more. I can't decide who I'd want as a torso, which is the tough part.

Soundwave torso from Hot Spot mold with tape limbs - Frenzy and Rumble out of Deluxe Groove with a couple of planes painted up as Buzzsaw and Laserbeak. If we're going full crazy dream time, though, the birds are new molds that are big birds into limbs into, I don't know, a tank thing or some such.

Mostly, I would like to see a wave or two of rando 84 decepticons as limbs ala the 84 Autobot Car limbs, which I happily bought and love for what they are.

I will close by saying I don't have a favorite team. Both crews have pet topics I don't personally have an interest in (Black Series, Glyos, Amiibo, etc), but I absolutely love hearing fellow toy collectors sharing their love of the hobby. Party on, yall.

The one year or so I got out of the franchise (because of AOE's one-step fad) was the year Masterpiece Soundwave came out in the US, so I can't afford to not follow the franchise anymore, if only spectating. That thing will very mildly haunt me for the rest of my life.

    Me too.

You did put it out at the front, and I didn't think it was ranting at all... but even with all the stuff that they do (or so I've heard) to resolve characters not showing up in ep3, it still doesn't take away from the fact that it's hard to invest in characters that won't show up later. That said, from what I've seen (seasons 1-5 i think) they do a good attempt at making you care...

it's just one of those things that happens when you try and make something that fits between 2 things after the fact, it's never going to be perfect because it's not part of the original idea.

As someone who is aware enough of what Clone Wars is about but has no business talking about it, Lumpy kinda found a way to word an issue I have with the idea of Clone Wars and the reason I can't get into it: This show may as well be fanfiction because even if it works well as its own thing, it doesn't fit in.

I'd rather see a show taking place between Episode I and II to bridge the obvious time skip, since that seems like a more valuable thing to develop and you could more easily explain away why characters aren't around by saying "It's been a lot of years since ___ died".

Even if I don't watch anything beyond the movies, I must admit the idea of continuing to put things between II and III just seems like time that could be better spent on other parts of the movies. I'm sure it's at least been explored in other forms of media.

As to Seth's creation, Creeperbot, Creeper, Creepatron (the name slips my mind at the moment), have we considered his place in the Kiss Players story line. I feel he would fit right in with that fiction. Heck, the Autobots might even accept him on their side!

    Just a (horrible) though.

On Delta Magnus and Vangelus wondering if he'll be a unique character.

He actually is. IDW mentioned a Delta Magnus as the leader of the Primal Vanguard, Nova Prime's elite commando unit. He held the Matrix after Nova Prime disappeared until a new Prime (Nominus) could be found.
He was only visually depicted once, and they used the Powered Convoy/Diaclone design.

So the new MP is both a Diaclone homage and a nod to IDW.
