Argh, this is too hard for me! Living in the UK means it's hit and miss whether we'll even get whatever wave these two will be in. Wave 2 of CW was missed here for feck-knows what reason! Which lead me to just go with all the Unite Warriors sets. But then TT screwed that up for me by making Guardian a TT Mall exclusive and I'm now having to try and find him for a decent price! (And no, CW is not an option without Groove!)

If TR goes the same way as CW there's a very real probability that Hasbro will fail to send certain waves to the UK. So I'll likely be left getting the Takara versions. But I won't know if Hasbro won't be supplying those waves until they simply don't show up! By which time the Takara versions may well have been and gone!

Oh, you USA guys don't know how easy you have it! Being a UK collector should come with a health warning: "CAUTION: collecting Action Figures whilst living in the UK can lead to stress, headaches (including, but not limited to, Migranes), depression and thoughts of just giving up... collecting".

    ;)

Just get the ones you really want from Kapow and leave the rest to fate.

Skullcruncher's head looks more like the one who was just in the IDW comics, so that's cool.

Hasbro wins easily on Hardhead though. I'd never even heard of Hardhead before NYCC last year, but that faceplate really won me over.

Also it's cool Hardhead has wrist swivels but the extra length put in the wrists to achieve it looks really odd. Skullcruncher's wrists are a lot more natural looking.

    Not that I don't doubt you, but...Hardhead got a Universe 2.0 repaint of Ultra class Onslaught with possibly one of the greatest paint apps of all time;

On a completely unrelated note : your signature reminded me of my fear that TR Perceptor might be a Voyager :)
Otherwise: you think UK collectors got it bad ? Try collecting TF's on the mainland.
Offcourse now i'll getting a collector from Russia or someplace pitting that line to me. Serves me right :)

That's the reason why I put that Hardhead in my Wreckers collection, that shield screams for it.

That and the Headrobots update makes it the perfect version of the character.

I've seen the Onslaught before, in Vangelus' early reviews and possibly in stores. Can't say I saw the Hardhead though. I didn't have a Walmart that close to my house until around 2011. Even if I did I probably wouldn't have gone "Oh, that guy" upon seeing the Titans Return installment.

I like the Headrobots Hardhead. Its definitely more of a modern update rather than "G1-but-with-articulation", and once the head wasn't just beige Onslaught, it made a good Hardhead.

However, I'm all over the new one (Hasbro specifically. I'm pro-faceplate). I'll probably try to pick up Botcon Clench at some point to still have that mold in my collection somewhere.

They look similar enough and definitely works as an update.

Oh yeah, I should have specified. I meant the real character, not the IDW thing.

And ironically, "the IDW thing" had more personality than the "real character" (I assume you mean G1 here).

Really? What was Hardhead's personality in Spotlight? Oh, yeah, nothing.

People need to stop equating new with automatic "more personality". It's not always the case.

He actually was more fleshed out after his Spotlight.

And even in the Spotlight he had more personality than in G1.

I like how you tell me he has personality and you tell me he was fleshed out, but you can't actually tell me what his personality is. Hmmm. Suspicious.

Guys, guys, no need to argue - there are TWO versions of the guy, so everybody wins!
