Who is the old cyborg guy in the pic for this thread? Looks like he came from the cover of an old Spider-Man comic...

Silvermane, he was a businessman/mobster and rival of the Kingpin and yes that image likely did come from a old Spider-Man comic.

I enjoy Vangelus and Seth episodes because discussions tend to start out about Transformers, then turn into interesting insights on some recen

I'm not in the know, what exactly do you mean when you talk about Resin kits for Transformers?

As for a continuation of Animated, I wonder if IDW could make any money by doing like a 12 issue limited series that continues the story and grab some of the original artists for it. That would be sweet, if I remember correctly, didn't something similar happen with Beast Wars at some point?

I've never seen AoE, kind of fell off the movies after DoTM. What are the odds of a Vangelus AoE Riff Tracks type commentary coming for fans or maybe a Patreon thing or something?

I'd watch AoE with Vangelus commentary in a heartbeat. That sounds awesome.

I don't know the voices very well. It sounds like Vangelus having a conversation with Jaded Mr. Negative... guy.

Hey Vangelus, have you ever not gotten or set aside a toy and was totally blown away when you finally did get around to it? By "not getting" I mean for whatever reason you were cool setting it aside. "Just don't have the money" can count if there other things you ranked higher. For example, I picked up a Generations Waspinator and love it (after I took a little chunk off behind his knees).

Also, regarding the Marvel Legends wave, Speed Demon and Beetle are from the Superior Foes of Spider-Man book, which is also where the Silvermane head comes from. There's a big long story there. I have to reread it to sum it up correctly.
Thanks for saying something about the arms on Absorbing Man, I selected the ones I'd be happy with and I didn't plan on changing it, but it's good to know I can. I haven't had any trouble swapping out the heads on him. I find it odd that you did. You could always use a hair dryer or something to get the head off, or hot water.
    Edit:
Spider Carnage is awesome. Ben got possessed by the Carnage symbiot for an issues or two, hence the figure. But I remember those episodes too from the 90's era TV show. I loved that show.

Oh, also about the handshake thing, I think you may be thinking about the piece that came with the Fansproject Protector set that let him shake hands with Classics Optimus Prime.

You guys pretty much got it as far as what qualifies as "middle budget." The only thing is that from what I've gathered Pain and Gain is actually low budget, as even though you've got big stars, it was widely publicized that they all took pay cuts because they really wanted to do it, so if Bay's bitter about Pain and Gain not doing well, he shouldn't be blaming the dwindling interest in mid-budget dramas.

EDIT: In response to the podcast:

When it comes to handshaking Transformers, my mind always goes to RID Optimus and Ultra Magnus, where the handshake was designed to be part of the combination gimmick.
