If Hasbro were to actually give us something to commemorate RiD 2000's anniversary then I.

    Want.

    A new.

    Rail Racer set.

I doubt they'll do anything special for RID next year, but if Hasbro does anything, it will probably be the simple repaint of a Bruticus set in one of Ruination's colors.

I've seen a few digibashes for a Car Robots/RID themed Combiner Wars set, Optimus from Hot Spot, X-Brawn from Offroad/First Aid, Sideburn from Breakdown, Prowl from Streetwise, and Skid-Z from Dragstrip. Having Skid-Z in there doesn't sit right with me though , he was in like three episodes and only spoke in one, nowhere near important enough. I say take either Dragstrip, or an Aerialbot, and turn it into T-AI, then take Groove and turn him into Koji, or something.

While I agree R.i.D. isn't obscure, I don't think it gets enough respect. For my money, the autobots are some of the best Transformer toys we've ever gotten. I really enjoy the unique transformations and asymmetry of many of the designs, but I can understand how those two aspects can be off-putting.

I highly doubt we'll see anything for the 15th anniversary--as Seth mentioned, 15 years isn't worth anything--but I'd LOVE to see a modern take on the JRX train team.

A bit late to this one. But looking back at the original toy, I can imagine a 3rd party rendition of RID Ultra Magnus that part-form and combine with a red repaint Combiner Wars Hot Spot.

A modern Rail Racer would be cool, especially to get the set available to younger/newer fans. But I wonder if it would be better served to do a reissue if possible? It is more of a niche character, and the toys are in a weird price point area that I think a box set would be nice.

I kind of would worry about the stability of a Rail Racer that was attempted with today's budget limitations. And I have the original JRX, that baby still holds up so good today, still a favorite combiner.

If they did something to acknowledge RID, like maybe a few RID toys in the generations line... I would absolutely love it if we got SkidZ and Tow-Line. Those are two wonderful decos and characters, and SkidZ would be a great update as a deluxe toy, Tow-Line would make me super happy if he got a voyager toy.

Don't usually post, but this is bugging me. I know I'm being a pain in the ass, but I just have to say:

Vangelus has referenced the Greek mythical hellhound CERBERUS a few times over the years, and always says CEREBUS. It makes me die inside.

    CER-BER-US.

...while I'm on that subject, ZEMBLANCE is not a word, but SEMBLANCE is. Also, even as a fellow Canadian I don't understand the weird pronunciation of SILVERBAULT. Every time ol' SB comes up. BAULT.

...PHEW. Apologies Vangelus, just had to get that off my chest.

My girlfriend brings up the Silverbolt thing all the time and I literally can't hear the difference between how I say it and how she says it :lol

Haha! That's funny that she hears it too. Maybe it's all that time you've been in eastern Canada, it does kind of sound like an "aboot"-ism. Also it's good that you have a sense of humour about odd pronunciations and sorry I had to point that out but it was driving me nuts!

PS I sent you a friend request on Facebook like a year ago....whaddaya too good for us podcast listener types?? :D

Vangelus mispronounces so many words on purpose I just assume he's always doing it for effect.
