You'll love the locks. They work remarkably well for something so simple. You look at it and think "Really? A peg? Why couldn't Hasbro figure this out?"

 

mine stands perfectly using the PE feet, as long as there is no breeze, vibrations in the floor, or I don't look at it from across the room; otherwise he topples like a drunken ****** on rollerskates.

Try tightening the ball jointed ankles on the PE feet with floor polish. You could have to use a few coats on the ball socket and the ball joint.

 

Can someone help me with the Blackjack adapter? For the life of me I just can't figure it out. Does it even work with the official transformation?

 

I used my wife's nail polish clear coat. It has base and clear coat, according to the bottle. I coated the ball and the socket on both feet and so far it's been rock solid. I'm impressed, actually.

For gits n' shiggles I decided to see if the halves would stick together better if the tabs were coated, so I tried one foot and left the other unaffected and sure enough, it took care of all the problems.

Now, all I need to do is replicate what FP did with their Menasor...rubber soles. Any recommendations as to what to use there? Because those would certainly help.

You can get rubberized spray paint at home depot... That might do the trick?

 

I don't have them yet from Kickstarter, but I plan on using Gear Gripz for the base of the feet, etc.

 

I got neoprene strips from Grainger.com (they're ~2 feet long) to use on my combined wars PE feet. They feel the same as Fansproject Menasor's foot bottom strip. You just have to cut them to size, and a dab of glue helps since the adhesive back isn't super adhesive. But they work great.

So, the Menasor upgrade looks..... ok. I was already hesitant about them being black, but it works in combined mode, so its not a big deal. Really, the worst thing about them is the gap between the two pieces in alt mode. Really messes up the look of the truck. Gonna have to debate if this is worth it.

And I also wonder if we will get a set for the G2 version. Considering that we couldn't get even a somewhat matching grey, I'm guessing the bright blue is also unlikely.

 

is there an upgrade in the works for ratchets in the connector pegs (arms/legs)? I would love to see this. I think this would make him pretty solid overall with the hip ratchets.
My last grip with CW Menasor is the weak knees and the big difference with each position/click of the stock ratchet in the connector peg.
PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN NONNEF!!!

The new wind vanes no longer sit back flush with the cab due to the long pegs behind them... They just sit up. The covers on the side could have been brought down closer to the cab.

Still, MM does get new options to store weapons in robot mode though and combined mode is perfect.

Could use a revision to better mesh with alt mode.
