Great picture. And I agree about MP Grimlock. He is the perfect size to fit in with classics display. On another note i am looking to sell my Medical Specialist if interested PM me.

 

These along with Faith Leader look great with a lot of Classics figures.

 

Glad I sold these a while back. So many choices now for these characters and two are actually superb.

 

Holy crap, I just got Weapon Specialist and he is amazing! Love this guy. Wish the new MP Ironhide head looked as good as this guy's head!

I've got mine incoming FINALLY! I can also finally get rid of those terrible universe figures!

 

I got mine the other day to use with my classics. I had almost gave up on Classics and just focused my entire attention finishing my Masterpiece collection, but Leader Class Megatron and Seekers got me to start adding to my Classics again.

Sold my god awful Deluxe Ratchet and Ironhide and pretty much bought these with that money. Paid 62 for Ratchet and 72 for Ironhide with all accessories.

Lookin' good! I'll be using toyworld's orion instead, but I'm sure they'll still all go great together.

It's awesome that the new MP and mp-scaled figures of these two are making them much more affordable! Glad I waited so long. Hated having universe ratchet and ironhide representing those characters, but it's amazing how long I was willing to wait with those as placeholders.

 

I've got both of these MIB (opened to inspect but never displayed or transformed) if anyone needs a set.

Bought them when I first got into this and went on a shopping frenzy. They're nice but they're the only two I regret getting as they're not MP and I wasn't paying attention when I got them.

I'd go $75 each on them if anyone wants them, if not I'll toss them up on Ebay. Ratchets box is brand new looking, Ironhide's came with a crumpled mark on the corner otherwise it's perfect. *shrugs*

Here is a side by side of my iGear Weapon Specialist (Ironhide) & Voodoo Robots Animus Stealth Mode (Diaclone Ironhide). Weapon Specialist (Ironhide) is still my go to Classics scaled Ironhide I love the design of those figures.

After playing around a bit, I'm convinced that ironhide's chrome gun is designed with the handle backwards. The slanted part is clearly designed to rest on the angle of his chest/windshield, but the only way for him to hold it there would be if the handle were removed and put on backwards.

Anyone else notice this? I wonder what happened there...

 

Anybody have an extra ratchet head for sale for defense specialist or know of a shapeways head or alternative head I could get of anything else that would work? Bought one and didn't have the extra heads just the first aid one that's attached. PM me if anyone has one for sale. Thanks

 

These two will forever be some of my favorite figures, and outside of the new MP, put all other incarnations of these characters to shame. I was happy to move them from MP to Classics. They will always have a place in my collection.

 

Bringing this thread back from the dead again to say, I found alt-mode storage for ironhide's Rambo knife! Fantastic, since that's the only one of his extra weapons I use. It's dead-solid stored on the underside of the van if you put the chromed heel pieces between the handle and hand-guard of the knife!

 

Sorry to necro a thread but I just ordered a patrol specialist on ebay and was wondering if there's anything I should be wary of with this mold? Looking forward to replacing universe ironhide with this guy

 

The head/tail lights fall off really easily.
