I'm wondering if, similar to the other combiners, we actually get 6 (4 deluxe, 1 voyager, 1 legend) in this year's set since we're not getting something super expensive, like a custom pretender shell or a custom neck sculpt to fit a retooled headmaster.

Granted I'm at a loss as to who could be a 6th on this team...

 

We've been told five. And we've been told there'll be five new heads (unprecedented!). Expecting anything else is, in my opinion, just wishful thinking.

 

Since they said the attendee freebie would be "in high demand," or however they worded it, I'm guessing that's the Legend figure that goes with the rest of the team. What if they made the Legends Groove into Flamewar? Or the Legends Seeker into Onyx Primal?

Also, there's no way they don't show the combined mode vefore Botcon.

 

I'd like to see Oilmaster repainted into Shattered Glass Oilmaster with the prototype's heroic color scheme as one of the bagged set toys.



Gears (not Swerve) would be repainted as this Brazilian toy.


and Flanker would be repainted into Micromaster Nightflight's color scheme since Oilmaster has Micromaster Aiwave's color scheme.

 

Nah, they just did Flame War a couple years ago. A better option would be Sideways, based on the Robot Masters version.

It depends on if they want the souvenir figures to stick with the Predacus/Beast Wars theme.

 

Fun Pub did Tarantulas as a Club figure this year and he's also in this set. And let's not forget how many times they've done Breakdown either as a Club or Botcon exclusive.

 

Also, you realize what it means if they do Flamewar from Legends Groove and Sea Clamp from Hot Spot...

It means the female Transformer with natural boobs will transform into a pair of artificial boobs to stick onto the male Transformer who has no boobs.

That alone will make this the greatest Botcon set ever.

Point is you're acting like Sky Lynx won't get a Decepticon redeco when every other Voyager in his line has an Autobot version and a Decepticon version.

And also you're basing your logic on why this won't happen upon Generations Whirl (Who got redecoed btw) and Generations Rhinox rather than the line that Sky Lynx is actually in?

 

When people talk about CW repaints, they mean limbs and torsos anyway.

Nobody really counts legends unless they're part of the gestalt.

Sky Lynx will get retooled. It's "when" not "if".

I'd imagine at the end of the week, as the others have all occurred over the last couple of weeks and all have been some time between Thursday and Saturday.

Actually, they could use the Galvatronus head if they really wanted to. It has enough features to work as a more robotic Tripredacus.

 

I will say again how much I really, REALLY, REALLY hate these colors. This isn't an affront on the characters, or the show. This is an assault on simple physics because apparently whoever designed these doesn't know how lighting works!

Slight hyperbole? Yes. Am I wrong? No. The character models in the show were NOT red; the lighting was.

What irritates me the most though, I think, is that the irronious fallacy perpetuated over the years that the TriPred Council was red, is now canon. -_-

Come on, FP! How about you use the toy colors as secondary or tertiary colors on these guys? Or swap the grey for the Tripredacus blue present on all three of the BW guys. Or at the bare minimum, MUTE that red!
