I just think trying to put a small line of paint on it may not work out as you think. I would try the blue sharpie 1st. the stressed plastic might suck up some of the blue, wipe off excess with thumb..
    Just a thought.

I mean...how bad is the stress mark? are you making a big deal over something that should left alone, or is it really bad in a obvious spot?

Just got this figure....me likes! (a little fragile feeling though)

What's the little blue c-clip that accompanies it? (in the bag with the pilot)

It's for TC in alt mode to hold the Megatron gun that comes packaged with MP Soundwave and the old MP Prime. Megs' gun barrel goes into the clip.

So, is there any way to get the flight stand to connect properly in Jet mode? I simply cannot make it work. I just got MP-11 and was wondering if the stand works on that one as well. I am sure this has already been discussed, but I cannot find it here.

Hi, any particular QC issues that I need to be aware of if I buy this from ebay and ask seller to check for me?

Finally purchased one of these from a fellow board member.
I guess I;m glad to see some of the issues I have reflected here.

I'm trying to decide if I like this mold, or re-sell him for a MP3 Skywarp. I thought they had re-designed this from the ground up. It's more like a tweak from a prior mold- right down to the MP3 instructions!

They could not have done better with the tail fins? Nothing holds them on- like at all! It's almost as if it's a partsformer. Reading prior posts it looks like I need to break out the screw driver and tighten this incredibly loose sliding figure.

Am I dissapointed? I dunno. I remember a lot of the build from Wal MArt Starscream, but not as many of the issues. But I did get rid of it for a reason.

If nothing else, MP T-Cracker is a good display piece.

I honestly think they need to go back and re-do this one.

With the upcoming Takara MP-11T on the horizon, I decided to fix one last thing on my Hasbro MP that was bugging me - the hot pants. With my preference for toy colors, I'm hoping this will keep me from dropping more $$$$ on yet another seeker mold.

Looks good. I also still have to do this sometimes, as well as silvering the torso. (Did you also paint/swap the dark gray (arms/feet) parts for black? Them being not black is something I really like.)

what paint/color did you use, because it seems like a very good match.

Yes, I swapped the gunmetal forearms for solid black ones from Acid Storm, and painted parts of the shin vents and feet black. That's just a personal preference of mine, I think it pops better against the darker blue, whereas gunmetal would look better with a lighter cartoon sky blue. I also painted the inside of the canopy with a mix of clear yellow and orange.

The blue I used is actually not as nice of a match as the picture shows, in most lighting it's a bit darker and much more rich and metallic. I think it's Tamiya PS-16 metallic blue for polycarbonate RC bodies. I used this because it literally melts and fuses to the plastic and won't chip. Frankly, it almost matches the G1 Thundercracker toy perfectly, and I'm tempted to repaint the entire toy.

Guess what? You can fix the non-locking sliding torso issue on Hasbro TC (and any of the older MP-11 molds with this issue) by following what Hasbro did with their latest TRU MP-07 Starscream.

I did some measurements of the metal frame that the torso slides on, and it looks like the top where the chest fan hinges attach are about 2 mm closer on the new SS. So I undid the two side rail screws and removed the entire back torso/wing/nosecone/intake assembly leaving the metal frame free. Then a GENTLY pushed the two frame halves in at the top until I felt the metal bend just a little. Be careful not to break the metal, it's just soft zinc. I remeasured to make sure I closed the gap about 2mm, and reassembled everything.

Bingo, it now slides and locks just like the new TRU SS, where you have to pry the chest fans apart a little to get the middle chest section to slide down and lock. Now I can pick up and shake TC and it doesn't slide apart :) :) :)

To quell my OCD, I painted the top of the intakes to extend the color further back in jet mode and above the shoulders in bot mode, like the current SW and SS releases. Now they all match :thumb . Also did a subtle panel line with a Pigma Micron 005 pen.

Con symbols still don't match

They're attachment points for TT MP-11 Starscream's coronation gear.
