I notice Last Stand of the Wreckers is in list one and two. Is this correct?

Kinda. If you're going for reading everything, you read lsotw much earlier. If you're going with the quicker reading order you still want to read it, but at a different point.

Basically, its reading it "when it happened" versus reading it as background material.

Are the lists on the first page up-to-date?

Mostly, they're just missing a few issues of MtMtE and Not-RID that are easy enough to follow (you just need to read them in the order of the issue numbers) and Drift: Empire of Stone (which you should read at a similar time to Punishment).

FYI: IDW has a big event called Combiner Wars going on at the moment - you just need to read that in the order of given by the titles, which is:

    Not-RID #39
    Windblade (2015) #1
    Not-RID #40
    Windblade (2015) #2
    Not-RID #41
    Windblade (2015) #3

Okay, thank you very much! I recently got the whole bunch downloaded, but I was lost since none of them were ordered properly.

But wait - Windblade #1, #2, and #3 were placed in the other list.

Different Windblade series, the ones in my post are from the new ongoing Windblade series that should be starting tomorrow while the ones in the list are from a miniseries that came out last year.

I'll update in the next day or two.

We've now got solid placement for punishment (concurrent with combined wars opening salvo) EoStone is still odd to place though.

I'm a total virgin to the modern comics [I stayed with the original run up till #24 or so...] and just jumped in with the first IDW collection.
    It's all over the place.
I was kinda expecting to just get a tidy, easy chronological reading order but it's friggin' work, all the crap I have to try and remember as I go through it.
At first, starting with the Megatron: Origin mini, it was pretty strange to meet the Autobots portrayed as they were; cruel, ruthless overlords.
It was also fairly obvious that these "Spotlight" stories are intimately linked with stories yet to come, which is sorta frustrating. Being in the dark as to exactly when these things fit into the overall timeline.
One of these stories even mentions Stormbringer as having taken place already and that mini's in the next trade!

This listing here looks like it's going to be the way to go, thanks!

I'm still catching up with RiD and MTMtE, currently at issue 21. Just wondering why the RiD from 35 are 'NOT' RiD? Is it something that will become clear as I Read on?

They changed the name from Rid to "Not Rid" so it wouldn't interfere with the Rid 2015 TV show and comic books.

Thanks for that Veritas. I've not heard of the TV show before. Any good?
This series is so addictive. I've managed to secure 2 days off work after a knee operation and I've nearly got myself up to date. Just wondering if anyone has an idea when empire of stone fits in?

The TV show is a sequel to Transformers: Prime and follows Bumblebee as a police lieutenant who goes to Earth on a mission from Optimus Prime after a Decepticon prison ship crashes on Earth. It basically follows Bee as a team leader and mostly follows the villain of the week format and has its own forum on the site where you can find the first season. I enjoyed the show but the opinion of the series has been somewhat mixed among the other fans here.

Empire of Stone takes place after the ending of issue #40 of More than Meets the Eye.

I recently went through S1 of MTMTE only, as well as Dark Cybertron. Ive been needing to catch up on everything, and its been awhile. Originally I had planned only to keep up with MTMTE, then decided to broaden my reading a bit as far as TF goes, because I wanted to start reading from the beginning again but instead starting with Last Stand of the Wreckers for the first time.

thanks to stumbling upon this thread, Ive decided to go the Reading Order 1 route. exactly what I was looking for!

and another side question was about RID/notRID and its something that I kept running across now and again how it isnt liked as much, will I be that disappointed?

    Yes.

Although the crossovers might baffle you slightly. But that's what recap pages are for.
