As for the battle changers, hound and shockwave are limited and only avaliable in Hong Kong. Havent heard of any news about triple changer drift and blitzwing yet.

 

So it's been a while since I posted in here. I was lurking a bit, though. I was specifically lurking on the discussion about a 'Class of 1986' set. Personally... I wouldn't want another "class of" set. If we're getting more SDCC sets of 30 Kreons I'd like them to be more diverse, or represent a more underrepresented era of Transformers.

To that end, I've drawn up my idea for a 30-part Kre-o set. My first idea was a "Ladies of Transformers" sets. Clearly one of the most underrepresented aspects of TF in Kre-O is also one of the most underrepresented aspects of TF in general. The ladies.

I've attached the sketches.

I've divided the girls into 5 loose categories (just to make it easier to process where they're all from) and ALL of the accessories for the set are alt-mode pieces for other female TFs -- plus a build for the Forge of Solus Prime.

Boltax, those are some pretty good designs. I found that a Cliffjumper torso makes a passable Road Rage:

Anyone catch TJ's new Blindpack Blitz video? I've never seen the Kreo series he's opening up, but some of those minifigures are so odd they slide right across into cool - just such eclectic mashups! Rail Baron Soundwave (with hair?!), Samurai 'Megatron', and Ninja Starscream...so odd I almost want to find a few.

 

Not a fan of those Kreo transformer line , just give us more damn microchangers

 

Lots of cool photos of the class of 85 set. Good stuff. Very sad they changed the kreo bodies, though.It will stop me from purchasing any new sets  

In other news, Now that I've moved across the country to sunny CA, I've had a few minutes to work on something thats been brewing in my mind. Obviously I haven't finished Star Saber yet (did I post some pictures of tha?), but I decided to crack on with a concurrent project. Unfortunately the light box was a victim of the move, so I will have to build another one at some point.

Browsing kreos on bbts and saw the takara tomy aoe wave 1,2 set and I was wondering besides brig the Japanese version is there any other reason why you'd buy them

Thanks! Have no printer so I can't do the chest decal for Overlord, and I still have to paint a helmet for Starsaber, but they're coming along  

 

TBH I initially didn't want to want the Class of '84 set last year, as I owned pretty much all the other characters in one Kreon form or another. And had I gotten my hands on that Custom Kreon G1 Hound I would've called it a day. So here I am...



Even with the small tweaks, felt I got suckered in doing a lot of double-dipping two years in a row (but still love it). Not so bad on the '85 set this year since we got a bunch that never saw a release ie. Omega Supreme, Astrotrain, Dinobots-not-named-Grimlock...

 

I was playing with my custom Kreons, specfically I wanted to give Galvatron some big upgrade legs, using only the parts in the set.
