Override is damn clever about it actually; whoever came up with sticking it in the wheel was a genius. As dor expectations I literally do think of these as Cyberverse commanders (Legends to me is still Legion size anyway). Even so most figures in this size class are surprisingly well made barring the lack of head rotation on some.
Seeing those pics I want that Override, repurposing him as a female of course. Now why is it that Takara is releasing a better RiD line and we get all this shelf warming crap. I'd take Lockdown, G1 Deco Drift, Override, & Greenjeeber any day.
They're selling the same crap we are (with marginally better paint) while dumping extra stuff in the line kinda like how Hasbro often did with the movie and universe 2.0 lines. A lot of this stuff should be in Takara's Legends line.
Indeed, TakaraTomy's line is an unfocused mess. Although they are definitely putting out higher grade figures thanks to much better paint and some new molds (Optimus). Still the line underwhelms. Frankly I hope whatever is next is way better than this, because this RiD 2 effort has been incredibly poor overall from both sides of the ocean.
I'm guessing its due to the fact that Adventures is suppose to be a mainline and not being treated as a second fiddle to Combiner Wars.
Goddammit, couldn't they just avoid using the ugly sticker for Runabout? He's already saturated with Decepticon symbols.
The art reminds me of the G1 homages in the Cybertron line (except these are actually moulds designed for G1 characters).
