once I figured out that you need to make sure the combiner knee joint is actually bending and not the joint the combiner peg is on I never had a problem

These were just some photos I took of Warlord back when I first got him. People told me there was no way Ares could do this, so I passed on the set. Ares still looks great, and the indiviual bots look outstanding, I was just disappointed hearing about the stability of him.

 

Stability has nothing to do with it. Ares doesn't have a mid thigh swivel, that is why he can't do that pose. I will see how close I can get tomorrow.

 

I love Warlord so much, I envy my friend's every time I go over there. And the lack of the mid thigh swivvle on Ares still just kills me. A BW recolor still really needs to happen  

 

So UT for posability in combined mode
TFC for individual bots
MMc for (almost) all of the above.
Looks like i will need to starver for a year  

 

I'd put TFC closer to MMC than they are to UT, more like MMC > TFC >>> UT.

 

I eventually went with Ares because unlike the other two Predakings, the component members don't have one mode that's completely garbage.

huh. If you painted the shins on Phobus black, I think we painted ours the same. I did leave the red gun tip on the big gun, though.

Hey guys, I just got an incomplete set of these. Anyone have an idea of where I could get a hold of some parts? Currently missing the smaller guns from the bull and rhino which give the combiner mode ankle stability. Also missing the lions tail. Thanks for any help ya'll can suggest.

 

Those come with Phlogeus (Rampage) and Phobus (Divebomb). They're more heel spur than ankle stability…

You might, and I stress might, be able to work out a deal with some of the e-stores. Some keep spare parts for Q/A related issues and maybe they would be willing to sell some to you.
