I think guys are a tad off on what you said about Hall H. See, I went to SDCC back in 2008(?) back when you could get into Hall H in 15-20 minutes, so my information is slightly dated. Back then they mostly just played movie trailers, one right after another, just before they come out for the rest of us to see.

You could leave Hall H briefly, as they gave you a ticket to return, so you could grab lunch. And they did have microphones set up for the occasional panel. Still, it honestly feels like it never really was intended for anything other than a place to watch things on the several huge screens.

And while I haven't been in there any time recent, it doesn't seem to have changed all that much (from what I've seen on YouTube). Your right it doesn't seem like the ideal panel room, and it really isn't. Honestly, it feels like the tourist trap of SDCC.

A lot of people expend a ton of time & energy getting there, while equal or better stuff happens everywhere else.

Also, Hasbro SDCC exclusive lines were great this year. Yeah, getting a booth pass was still impossible, but this year it worked like a FastPass at Disney. There was a line for people without passes. And on Saturday just happened to be there when there practically was no line & picked up a Combiner Hunters set for Noizemaze.

For some reason the podcast didn't come through the RSS feed for me. Could someone double check the feed/backend?

Any Yusha Brave reference in Victorion is all in your mind, Vangelus. Rick Alvarez has been on multiple podcasts where he's explained any Japanese product is completely off Hasbros radar. He'd pitch repaints/reworks of existing product which would reference a Japanese toy and it'd be met with blank stares.

We're going through a tradition in terms of gender in the franchise. If they're still going on about how inclusive the brand is in five years? Yeah, then it's all self-serving. For now? It's fine.

My only real "complaint" about this new direction is that it seems like the fan-built discussions get a bit too heated. Like you HAVE to vote female or you're some misogynistic frat boy. And it's like...I understand there's a lot of enthusiasm for this new, much needed, direction, but chill out. There are non-sexist reasons why a fan may want to see a fan created-character be male. That's my only complaint. Well said on everything else.

I think Victoruon turned out good. They added some more silver to the deco especially on Pyra magna. But all I see is this Brave style super robot lady with a gaint sword and that makes me happy...also I didn't even see the "high heels" till you guys talked about

Why can't I find any pictures of the remolded FoC Grimlock toy I keep hearing about? Even the link in the opening post to the new RiD toys doesn't have any.

If Hasbro were to make a complete Computron I wonder if/how the comics would handle it considering three of the Technobots are dead.

Based on the comments from people who have been on a lot of those "Women in X" panels it seems like they're willing to do them, but they're really tired of the fact that they have to happen in the first place.

I don't know if Mairghread Scott or the other women working on Transformers have been in many of those, so maybe they have a lot more enthusiasm for the concept.

RiD has actually been airing pretty consistently in the US. At least my DVR has been recording it every week, and it's past where I was when I was downloading it. With the last episode to air being Drift's second appearance. I think I'm going to keep watching it this way because I don't really want to marathon the series.

Also, despite how much I like Strongarm, I feel like I've connected more with Rescue Bots's cast. I'm liking RiD, but I feel like there's something missing from it.

I think it's a fucking stretch to call Victorion's feet "high heels." I mean, her heels are below the highest point of her toes. How is that a high heel?

Also, I can see where Aaron is coming from in that I too am sometimes skeptical of the intentions of a corporation when they try to promote diversity, but if they do it well, the fact is that the end result is the same, which is that the group in question is getting the representation and celebration that they deserve.

And my BM Striker. (well, he didn't crumble to pieces, but he did get a heck of a lot of stress marks on his gold bits that eventually cracked---and no other figure I bought that decade seemed to)

Victorian's color scheme "being our fault" is manipulative bullshit of the highest order. THEY forced us to pick from a handful of paint swatches when the toy sight unseen. We had no voice over the layout. That is 100% on Hasbro and all pooch-screwing is on them.

Where the hell is all the turquoise? That color was the largest on the voting swatches they were so happy to hide behind, implying (read: lying) that it would be the goddamn primary color of whatever they did. Instead it's sharing the spotlight (at best) with red on the individual robots, and becomes drowned out in a sea of it in combined form.

Where the hell is white/silver? That (like red, in case you forgot) was supposed to be accenting it too. Okay; I'll count the silver on the new combiner hands, feet, and sword (at least those came out cool). If more of the final's visible red was white/silver I wouldn't be here.

Just because we gave those colors doesn't excuse Hasbro did a piss poor job of making them work. If Hasbro has the option of changing the production's paint layout, I profoundly hope they make an effort to.

Kind of Ironic that Victorion was shown first. Next to G2 colorschemes.

Like Fall of cybertron retail bruticus being so bright to be attractive to kids. Marketing loves the brighter pantones.

I can live with it. I can understand why other people won't like it and that's alright.

I'd like to see a custom with acid rain corrosion and metal oxidation simulated since its the sea of rust team.

Actually the first thing that came to mind was Quickswitch rather than Rapido.

Interesting. I found the opening 2 parter better than the majority of the first 10 or 12 episodes
