I almost forgot about my question for the non-combining Devastator, haha. But I'm pleased by the answers The Combiner Wars reveals are rad. I'm still only on board for the original characters (Just got Offroad recently as my first CW item) so I am a tad disappointed we've not seen anymore of those aside from an initial look at Victorion, but some of the pre-existing characters like Wheeljack and Hound have my interest thanks to the IDW ongoing. Especially since I've been building a Lost Light crew. XD And since I've been watching RID some more, I'd definitely be interested in hearing a sort of podcast discussion about the show, I feel like it's got its share of strong points and some flaws. Also, did I miss something or did you guys skip over the talk of the Masquerade-inspired bots? Sky Reign got talked about but I don't recall mention of the skinny Ironhide and or Sunstreaker without Sideswipe.
My non-combining Devastator would have this as the alt mode. Reports of a bot mode remain unconfirmed since it never has a need to use it.

One of the reasons someone might only buy First Aid is because he's one of the more prominent Lost Light crew members. I knew of a few people who have done exactly that for that reason.
Couple of things to enhance your discussion on FunPub/BotCon future toys: FSS 4 has 7 figures, the 2 not revealed are deluxe sized. I wouldn't be surprised if the 6th figure isn't revealed shortly after SDCC and what Hasbro announces there. When FunPub met with Hasbro to go over Botcon 2016, FSS 4 and FSS 5, Hasbro was really excited about FSS 4, so FunPub has adjusted Botcon 2016 and FSS 5 to align with the product on the shelves. So Hasbro has shared with FunPub the future outlook so we'll see more of figures being on the shelf and used by FunPub like Onslaught will be. I'm guessing G2 Menasor for BotCon 2016
That is, in fact, the exact reason I'd want a First Aid. That and I find his design most appealing out of the Protectobots - Hot Spot is a close second since his CW figure looks damn heroic, moreso than the Optimus which I find a bit too bulky for my liking.
Haven't finished listening to the episode yet so I don't know the context, but I also bought only First Aid from the Protectobots and I'm really enjoying having him on my desk to mess with. He's the only one of them I have a connection to (from MTMTE). Having said that, I'm really close to caving and getting Hot Spot as well. Robot mode looks amazing.
Listening to this again, did I hear mention of some kind of add-on kit for Leader Magnus from X2 toys? I can't seem to find this anywhere and wasn't sure if either I was hearing things or if this was just wishful speculation.
