Those $60 CW limbs you were talking about? That's all of the Nordic countries, thanks to them being exclusive to BR/Toys'r'Us up here. Last time I checked, my local TrU hadn't sold a single CW figure in the two months or so they've been out here.

It's funny. Shenmue 1 is admittedly rather slow, but the game world was detailed and intricate enough to the point my parents were watching me playing the game as if they were watching a slow drama when it was first released.

Shenmue 2 was definitely more fast pace and much more entertaining for the player, but my parents were less taken in by it.

It's a shame people my age only had the chance to see Dusty Rhodes at the end of his in ring career. It wasn't until years after the yellow and black that I found out how great he was, both in and out of the ring.

I got my CW Ultra Magnus and all 6 Protectobots in the same shipments. I opened the Protectobots first, then Magnus. Still love Magnus. I feel comfortable with the price I paid. Of course, I think it helps a LOT that I got one with near perfect QC. He even holds his guns pretty well. I can definitely see lots of things on this figure that could make someone quite sour.

Then again, I haven't messed with my Protectobots a whole lot because all of them are GREAT - except that Streetwise has loose hips, so I'm waiting to mess with the set until I get him properly tightened up. Groove is way more rad than I expected.

Wasn't Jeep part of the Daimler Chrysler group once upon a time?

I have some Transformers Devastation thoughts. I would have tweeted them at you, but I don't tweet.(Too shy)

First off, I'm sold on the gameplay, even the air juggling, and depending on how reviews turn out I'll probably buy it at full price on the Xbox One.
(The initial leaked Best Buy listing was for the Playstation. That may be how you got mixed up?)

Second, I'm not really satisfied by the roster/general feel of the game because I'm overall pretty tired and disappointed by the state of mainstream Transformers nostalgia. You know, like the attitude the Giant Bomb crew have, where only the '84 and '85 stuff matter and everything between that and the new movies is some nebulous mystery; if it exists at all. Not that I expect them to be experts, but it's still frustrating.

I grew up with the Beast era and the years of anime that came after, but I gained an appreciation for most of G1 as I grew older and started learning more about Transformers, so I'm not against a purely G1 game. It's just there's so many more interesting elements in G1 to me than just the super early stuff.
Even if we're just talking pre-movie there's a bunch of cool and weird episodes in season 2 they could pull inspiration from.

As for DLC, I think a "Female Autobots" pack would be cool. TFTM/Season 3 DLC would also be acceptable.

To reiterate; I think the game is promising overall, but I hope some slightly younger people get to make a, non tie-in, Transformers game at some point.

As someone who regularly plays Platinum games, there's a pretty good chance you'll be able to unlock some Decepticons are finishing the story; it's kind of a regular thing with their games.

Also that the characters will play differently; especially w/ games like The Wonderful 101 where you can play as 7+ characters, and they're all super different. And that the combat is usually ridiculously complex and in-depth.

There's a lot I want to talk about since I adore PG.

Indeed, I've been corrected on social media as well about how the game is actually coming out cross-platform and previous-gen. Happy news!

I also hope that another continuity will get its gamepadded due, but I think we're still in the spectrum of 80's nostalgics working on this kind of stuff. Like you said, it'll more likely be the generation afterwards that likely plies its energies towards stuff like the Beast era. Aside from generally diggin G1, I'd say a true silver lining either way is that the mid-80s Transformers will at least finally have a respectable videogame to ride with, if all goes well. It'd be the biggest bummer if Tatakae and multiplayer/DLC skins were the be-all end-all for 'em.

But yeah, if '86 is completely left out of this game, it'd be a shame. Worst case, hopefully it does well enough to warrant a sequel that could tackle some of the less boilerplate G1 elements.

This is upping my confidence and glee! :D

Guys, I'm sorry to say but... Unsubscribed. Too much other discussion about other things not related to transformers. I know there is plenty of content out there to flesh out in a single podcast as others have various shows that encompass their "network" (see Radio Free Cybertron) that discuss the things I come to listen for.

I get that you guys have "free flowing" or "natural" conversation but most of the time it's about things that a majority of us have no interest in. I listen for talk about transformers, not "other."

The podcast sounds more like a Toyark podcast.

I love how Vangelus edits himself in at times. It is freaking hilarious and worked very well in this episode.

As for the non-Transformers/off topic stuff, I don't mind it. People can skip it if they don't want to listen to it. I listen to the podcast not only for it's high quality production, but because I actually am interested in what you guys think about what I am interested in. While I might not be a fan or follow all of the podcaster's interests, it exposes me to what is out there. I am really looking forward to what you all think of Terminator:Genisys when you all see it.

And major bummer on no news about the Machine Robo/Gobots during Tokyo Toy Show. I doubt SDCC will bring anymore news either.

After this episode I think it's offical, my new favorite thing about this podcast is future vangelus yelling in the background. XD

I hope by majority you mean yourself. Don't assume to speak for us all.

I personally don't mind the off topic discussions.

I take a lot of the responsibility for the bulk of the off topic yapping but in my defense, in the moment I'm just enjoying the conversation and don't realize how long we run off topic.

In that regard Future Vangelus yelling was a humorous way to acknowledge what was happening and let listeners who might have a problem with it that he knew what was up. I didn't know he was going to put those in but I laughed as much as anyone when I heard it.

Actually, GERWALK is a canon term from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, the anime Season 1 of Robotech was built from.

GERWALK is also an acronym for "Ground Effective Reinforcement of Winged Armament with Locomotive Knee-joint", a VTOL and low-level air gunship mode, similar to an attack helicopter, for the Valkyries. The term "Guardian Mode" was just fabricated by Harmony Gold for Robotech for the "G" lever.
