I needed this podcast tonight. My best friend akd fellow TF collector Devorjak_Prime passed away monday. ive beeen listening to old episodes to distract myself.

 

I remain drained on the MP 3rd parties. With everyone aiming for generally the same aesthetic now, the creativity or orginal ideas really feels likes it's fallen back.

 

Thanks. Best i can do in his memory right now is look at toys. I appreciate the kind words though. Look up his stuff sometime. The guy had talent. Sorry to derail the cinversation. Great show as always guys.

 

Seth, I've got no issues with you having the opinion that 3p Masterpiece figures don't hit the mark. However, I just get a smidge annoyed how you tend to draw out the subject whenever a figure gets discussed.

Also, Vangelus I will grant that Quakewave's legs seem a bit ill proportioned. However, they are mostly cartoon accurate. In the cartoon, the legs generally were more boxy, and looked a bit closer to the Fansproject legs than the comic or toy.


As for a standalone movie, I think something like Last Stand of the Wreckers could work, but only if the TF movies step up & do a better job in the writing department. Something I'm not sure this write by committee method can produce.

My sincerest condolences on your loss Nerdicon. It sucks to lose a friend. Just remember, you'll see him again some day and he's never truly gone from your life. He'll always be there watching, and enjoying you enjoy the things you both shared in interests and hobbies. Take solace in that, and push on my friend. He wouldn't want you to grieve long, I assure you. None of us would.

 

Thanks for answering my questions, guys. I was more wondering about your own personal experiences with telling people you're interested in about this hobby and what weird or interesting stories came from that, but still, great discussion.
