Based on the NYCC pics of three Aerialbots (see below) they double as weapons and come with the Deluxes...which I think is a great idea and will enhance play value.

As for the heads, they must come with the Voyagers?

    Good spot.

I'm wondering if they can become both a hand and a foot?

From what I've been able to tell from the pics so far, they can be either the hand or the foot and if I'm seeing it right, they can be left hand or right hand.

I would assume that they have scramble city combining abilities like their G1 toys did.

It looks to me that, like the FoC mold, the thumb will swivel around to work either side. And I think the "toes"/gun barrels flip to replace the fingers (you can just make out the pin in the pic I shared).

I meant the WEAPON that forms the end of the limb, not the LIMB itself!

Although thinking about it, if the robot can become an arm or a leg then the weapon should be able to become a foot or hand and not need swapping with another toy.

It was done for Energon, they've just gone one better here by including a 5mm peg hole too

I can't help but think how someone could make a RID set out of them. Motormaster = Tow-Line, Drag Strip = Indy Heat, Breakdown = Prowl, Dead End = Side Burn and Offroad = X-Brawn.

While it seems the combined mode isn't as nice as Superion, these should still be fun. Well at least 4 out of 5 of them.... :)

    Why all the repaints??

    Hey everybody,
So I don't wanna be hating on anybody, or making any feel bad, but I have a simple question to ask: Why do you all suggest so many repaints. Last I checked, cheap repaints were one of the biggest complaints shot at Hasbro, yet on almost every forum/picture/video I've seen talking about the combiner wars, there will be a large amount of people suggesting things such as "turn motormaster into onslaught" or "turn the stunticons into the constructicons." I just don't get it. We know Hasbro is capable of making good, fresh, new molds, so why do we beg them to make bad repaints out of okay figures. I'm just saying, it may be a waste of time to digibash current figures into characters that have virtually nothing in common with them. Maybe we should stop begging Hasbro for bad repaints, before they give us bad, cheap, and pitiful repaints.

In the end, I think we should just let Hasbro design new, good, accurate molds for other combiners, not just repaint them into crappy and rushed versions of beloved characters.

most folks are not hoping for straight up repaints....but maybe new head sculpts and some possible remolded parts to have once character become a 2nd character.....

wow, 1st post and already hating on pretty much anybody who ever wanted to talk about a new mold and what it could look like to them if repurposed and recolored...

Hasbro as proven repeatedly to eff' beloved characters up by naming a crappy new mold with a well-known name... just to use a name... and it sours the character during that line.

simultaneously they will use a great existing mold and give it a new name, or use another name we all can recall, and if it fits - it sells.

if a good mold has a potential to be a recolored version of a better character, especially if it's one we haven't seen in a while - why the eff' wouldn't we talk about it? why wouldn't we want it?

oddly enough, recolored TFs have been around before G1... powered convoy into ultra magnus to name one I know you will recall... if they had never recolored a single mold, or waited for a new mold for each character, the complete franchise would have died out long ago.

it's the way of the transformer - to arrive, scan an existing mold, and recolor.

I hope your 2nd post is a little more appealing to the fans of this site, let alone the fans of transformers. :D

People suggest repaints because they've been conditioned to expect little more and so settling for less has become an accepted practice and even an anticipation game. People would rather spend their money and have something, anything - even if it is a poor product - than have nothing at all. This phenomenon is not exclusive to the TF fandom by any means but you see it more and more. Corporations have learned that collectors can be manipulated into buying things they don't want through methods such as limiting the number of items and raising the price (yes, raising the price creates an air of exclusivity whether the item is limited or not). Once hype takes over things get ugly and people lose a real sense of value because they are so caught up in having the next best thing. How often do people rush out to buy items that shelfwarm? Most TF toys do not really sell out at retail (barring releases that don't release in number at the end of a line).

I'm always amazed at the people who think if you buy all the garbage a company makes, we'll get more Classics or better toys. That is completely faulty logic - if you buy garbage, they know you'll buy more garbage and have no incentive to do better next time. If you love TransFormers, supporting it means supporting things that are worthy of the brand name, not just anything with that word mark on the label. People also tend to confuse support for TransFormers for support for Hasbro - they do not have to be overlapping as 3rd parties and TakaraTomy have shown. Hasbro is but a steward for an idea that we all love - when they don't respect it, I don't buy the product. Same thing with the Club - enough of the foolishness - I will never support it again. Their ethics are ashamedly poor.
