If I can't get a FE version, then first chance I get. That tannish color scheme bugs the hell out of me.

 

I gotta tell ya the PRID voyager mold is pretty darn close...

The colors are aweful. Some of our fellow fans have painted it with silvers and greys. That actually match... What a concept... ha!

I am prepordering the Takara version. Especially if we DONT get a proper Leader class, like he deserves...

The chest / shoulders look painted to me. And some parts look dark grey / black to me...

I'm gonna buy a Think Tank/ Moonbase Tom cannon. So the minicons will go into storage...

Time will tell Takara...

 

This figure is cool. The shoulder pads bug me a lot though, and he could us a bicep swivel, to beat a dead horse. I love that knuckleduster. It's just great. And I actually like the cannon since you can deploy the sword manually.

Picked him up and I agree with most of the reviews - he looks really good. He's just abit shorter than FE Optimus but I hardly noticed it. My only complaint? I wished he was as "shiny" as his deluxe counterpart. Guess I will wait and see how the TakaraTomy version looks like before deciding to pick up another version of Megs.

 

Sorry to resurrect a very old thread .... But what's the deal with prices on this guy at the minute ?? I'm currently selling all my MISB TF prime stuff and when listing this guy I couldn't help but notice he seems to be fetching waaaay more than any of the other voyagers from the line .. Was he produced in small numbers or is he just the most desirable figure ...

Might just have to keep him now lol ... I had planned to just keep GO BH shockwave as he was my favourite from the line ... But looks like megs is going to join him now ...

 

Yeah I never understood the hate for the mold. The Final Battle silver version is my definitive Prime Megatron (along with a custom of the regular Voyager for how he usually is).

 

i allways thought this mold (and prime megatron in general) looks rather boring, dull gray colors, a completely non creative design (just another g1 megs lookalike) and a super lazy alt mode, at least other megatrons were guns, tanks or helicopters or.... something other than uhhhhh...... "spaceship"? not to mention this version of megatron never did anything in his show and overall had a super bland personality

ps. no leader megatron is always a bad thing (i hate how this was his largest figure, hell freaking bumblebee had bigger toys in this line than megatron!)

 

I have noticed this too, I grabbed one when they first came out and painted it g1 colors, because at the time they seemed to be shelf warmers. But for the past year, I haven't seen one for under $40, except the bbts dark energon one, which gives the mould a good pop! I did however happen across one a couple weeks ago at a local comic book store for $20 (missing his cannon and fist shocker blade). Gladly gave up gas money for that chance find!
