yeah this... Or at least we could hope that a proper combining CHUG version of the Trainbots/ Raiden would materialize somehow..

Million Publishing / Hero-X seems intent on homaging Japanese original characters as of late (Stepper, Artfire, Shouki). I think it's nice as these characters (short of Stepper / Ricochet) would likely never get any love any other way.

Plus at least with MP / HX doing these figures, they go the extra mile that none of the other groups would be including extra figures with them (Nebulon, Sparks, Nightstick, and now Daniel). I think we have them to thank (at least in part) for Fun Pub stepping up and starting to include extras with their figures (like Catgut, Stylor, Frenzy, and Olin).

It looks nice, but that mould hasn't aged well (although it's probably aged the best out of the Classics moulds), and.... I just don't care enough. I would like to get Heavytread eventually, though, because the Minicon does look pretty cool.

hmm, pretty decent all things considered...

 

I was totally disinterested (The trainbots are boring as sawdust, and the 3-change gimmick felt ill-placed)....until I fully grasped the whole "Infiltrate the Counter Arrow" theme going on....yeah, that's awesome.

I wonder how they'll place the comic timeline wise...Given it's a Headmaster era charcater and Danny invading Victory Destron territory...I'm betting it takes place while Danny's still a kid, and the plot will somehow hang on Deathy's weak spot for little tikes.

Stepper and Artfire I had to have.... Shouki? Meh... without the other 5, I'm not really into it.

 

Can't really swing it right now. Though I love my classic molds (and hope to get it someday), the botmode just screams Astrotrain too much for me to consider it as anything else.

 

I still kind of see it more as Astrotrain than Shouki but that's just because of the black and white colouring.

 

Yuki Oshima's art is always cool - without pedo girls.

 

still meh. But do want to see Go Shuta's box, thou. :d

 

OK, that is so crazy and cool! That's like Reverse Convoy cool. I kind of want this guy now.
