Yeah, they arent in the movie, so there's no confirmation. Also, there is no Mirage.

 

I really dig the Lockdown art

 

I read somewhere that they did Face Cap Mark Ryan's so that they can render Lockdown's facial expression. Which is no brainer if Hound looks like Goodman and Drift looks like Watanabe.

Those lockdown renders.. Amazing. Jaw dropped.
I can see some toy customizers will make a 6" figure of Lockdown using every Marvel Legends Iron Man figure out there, like Toybiz' Modern Armor & Hasbro Mark 6 Armor.

That being said, since TF AOE now introduces more Human like designed bots, why Hasbro didn't revived their Robot Replicas line? I think it'll look great especially a Lockdown Robot Replicas action figure. I don't care if it doesn't transform.

 

Hmm, maybe the scorpion-like red femmebot was meant to be Stinger? You can see car headlights on her shoulders. Neat design.

And heh, Prime collects faces, Lockdown eyes. Maybe they should compare collections someday.

 

Pretty amazing stuff there. Gotta say I prefer Hound sans-beard (the shorter beard was ok too)....and I'm really glad they didn't go with the mustache for Drift.

Lockdown is absolutely amazing and I'm really sad they didn't let him get away. He was by far the best villain in the franchise - the shot of him emerging from the water is up there with the "Are All Dead" cover from the G1 comics.

Here's hoping we get somebody equally as awesome for TF5. I didn't think much of Galvatron's design, to be honest. It didn't have much in the way of character - he was even more generic than TF07's Megatron design.

I know Galvatron will be redesigned for TF5....but Megatron, in the movieverse, has been completely overshadowed by Lockdown.

There's actually quite a bit of Lamborghini in the final model that made it into the film.

Many of the Aventador's body panels are on there, divided up. The car is so angular with so many edges that it is really easy to divide up. They basically designed the entire robot before figuring out how to make it transform, and then placed panels and car parts on it. Given how well it turned out, I hope they continue to do this. I don't really give a fuck about the toys.

Also on the final model are the lights, the hood (divided up but you can clearly see the lamborghini emblem cut in half), the tires (yes, they're there. The tire goes into 4 quarters and extends out from the rim a bit, then lays flat on other panels, they're in his biceps/triceps and his butt in the film), and the brake calipers. I'm sure there's more but that's what I caught in one viewing.

 

Axer/Axor would be fantastic and I really really want to see him. His action-master toy from G1 was my fave action master by far, and the retool of RotF Lockdown's toy into him was awesome. I loved how his head was kind of an evil version of Wheeljack's, with the ears and mouth plate.

I agree with others that they probably won't do another bounty hunter, but I wish they would. Something about the lone-wolf villain is just so damn cool. I wouldn't mind seeing Axer as an older, even more experienced/trophied-up hunter. Give him a heavily modified Jeep alt-mode to suit his off-road character. Maybe have him hunting Galvatron but kill an autobot just for sport at some point.

 

Wait, there was a chance for a female Transformer to be in this movie? And in the end she wasn't?

I'm normally not a fan of the movie faces but Hound's face looks awesome

 

The sad part is they didn't go thru with it or even consider it. Im really hoping for a Fembot in 5.

 

We know NOTHING about her... the character is female, evil, and called WIDOWmaker (black widow). We have no idea what her altmode is

I can see why Bulgarov was liked so much. His designs represent a different aesthetic from what we've seen before: they're smoother and more organic, they feel like they employ liquid metal; they pose a new, different threat from the previous film's Decepticons.

That said, I find his work too smooth, too fluidy. As AOE showed, the transformations for Lockdown and the other Transformers now even more utilize the lack of sliding/moving parts that form a trademark of TF.

I admire his spacecraft/scope designs, but that was all that impressed me.

 

As I said in the Nizzi thread, I think is these 2 concept artists worked together side by side on the next movie, between the 2, their designs could feed off each other and we could probably get the best movies designs yet for movie 5.

 

I don't think I agree with that. His work looks organic, yes, but it is still very mechanical and industrial, just in a very refined way. It's one of his trademarks as an artist.

 

Widow Maker looks great.

 

Possible, and how great Vitaly's work is he's the next Ben Procter in the art dept.

 

Sorry to bump this thread, but has anyone noticed that the site is now lacking all the TF4 concept art? It says it's "coming soon." I really wanted to check out Drift's head designs.  

 

Most of the concept art got pulled down a while ago.
