I actually don't have a problem with Shane McCarthy's writing? I really liked AHM and the spotlights he wrote as well as the first Drift mini. If he and Roberts are working together, that's sounds good to me.

Hmm looks like IDW has a good game plan going for the next little while. Their comics are top notch and have so far totally kept me entertained. Glad to know we're getting a Drift mini-series, i've been curious to see what he's been up to since he got the boot.

 

No one hates her. She's widely acknowledged as being probably the best written human character we've had in the comics, like, ever.

It's the 'in RID' part that causing the face palms. If Barber Marissa's her, they'll be an awful lot of peed off readers.

Is there not an Aussie Transformers Convention at all? You need to get organising  

 

Oh God, please don't let Barber near Verity. She was awesome in LSotW, we really don't need him making any more characters suck with his dull plotting and stilted dialogue 

I'm kinda glad they're sticking to their own fiction, I can't say I ever read any of the movie comics as the films don't really do it for me, but focus is no bad thing, and Windblade has been pretty good so far. I re-read the Drift mini recently, and it was better the second time around. Interested to see where they take it.

 

Just more reason to look forward to next year and beyond.

 

I've been out for a year. Now there are so much to follow! I'm a bit nervous (what if I can't like them?), but also excited to read them again.

I look at Prowl and shudder. Part of me wants to see Prowler gets his karma in the end. Every time I read Prowl I just think "What goes around will come around." Makes me want Roberts to write the delivery because it will be plain evil.

 

Sooo no confirmation on WTF is up with the always changing always amazing release date for the Legacy packaging art book?

 

I don't know if Furman (or anyone) even gets reprint monies. Hopefully they do. He has no ability to "whine" and kill "his own trade." That's not how reprints (which are wholly owned, in this case by Hasbro and liscensed by Marvel) work.

I'm going to assume you asked this in genuine honesty (and, frankly, in ignorance of how comic reprints generally work) and weren't somehow attacking Furman, which, in the light of the rest of your comments, I'm unsure of. I will assume that you were not being disingenuous and simply say that Furman would have no reason or way to hold up the book and leave it at that.

 

"Windblade returns" reminds me of Batman.

Also, it's a shame that Barber's writing Verity and not Roche or Roberts. Didn't one of them say they wanted to have a story with Verity, Jimmy and Hunter's corpse getting into wacky hijinks?
