How you guys are describing 3D printers and this AllSpark concept (where I am right now in the podcast), has given me a crazy theory.

Maybe AllSpark, alongside being an in-home 3D printer, will be a proprietary website akin to Shapeways, as Hasbro finally stepping up to the "unofficial Transformers toys and accessories" market. Rather than buy an accessory (or even a full toy) from a fan's store on Shapeways, you can download that fan's model for free on AllSpark and print it out on your own, at the cost of Hasbro's proprietary printing material, like an EZ-Bake Oven or something like that. Certainly would be a huge step forward for Hasbro.

Idk about you guys, but Prid prime with BH Magnus jet pack instead of his power osier gun would make a pretty good Ginrai if done right.

Something useful for the allspork printer..If you got figure X and Y part was broke or malformed you could send in a picture and they ship ya some flakes and a one shot schematic and boom, instant..ish repair job!

 

I play a drinking game on even shows it goes like this every time TJ lets out a sigh I take a shot! Man I'm hammered by the end of the show.

 

I do not think the price is the choke point for 3D printing. Once you get through the fan enthusiasm the sad truth is that all printed items, even on high end machines have ugly striations. I do belive that there will come a point where the resolution will be high enough to look smooth but it won't be in a cheap ass easy bake allspark oven.

 

Sentinel is also doing a Dancouga so that would be a good look to see about transforming toys, triple-changers, combiners etc. all in one go.
