This actually sounds quite interesting! I'm pleased to hear that it isn't a sequel to FOC, and that this isn't a complete reskin of the characters.

 

I'm excited for it. I don't mind either side. I'm hoping for a very familiar FOC game not a movie game per say

 

Since it's Activision I wonder if any of the G1 themed skins from ROTF will be on there. Like the G1 Starscream/Sunstorm, Megatron Etc?

 

What interests me is IF this Dark Spark turns out to have the same powers IF it shows up in the actual movies. If so, could this be a way to go back in time to save Cybertron? Or even bring characters back that have already died?

 

Depends if they reuse some DOTM models, in which case we will get Sideswipe and possibly Ratchet. Even if it's just for multiplayer.

If this is meant to happen during AoE as well as after, expect them 2 to show up somehow.

The 3DS version isn't looking too good... Guess there will never be a handheld TransFormers game as good as War for Cybertron. I'll still be getting it though, since it looks to be fun all the same, just not what I was hoping for...

Anyway, this is still a sequel to FOC, we will find out what happened to them at the end of FOC. The only thing I'm bothered about is using a single character per mission, does that mean the campaign is like FOC and there's no Co-op???

 

Again i'm gonna need solid confirmation that the playable characters can transform FREELY in the 3DS game before i buy it.

 

Looks like the big console versions will have multiplayer similar to Gundam vs Gundam what with all those characters to choose from.

Even if this isn't the case, I'm real glad that it is a true crossover and not 2 games in 1.

 

Crap. Since this takes place during and after the movie I'm gonna have to wait until I see the movie to play it....

 

This sounds fucking awesome. Rise of the Dark Spark offically has the potential now to become the best Transformers multiplayer experience of all time - maybe even better than Revenge of the Fallen. Using everything High Moon has done so far and adding more to it - thats the way to go.

 

Nnnno, the article says this takes place between WfC and FoC when Cybertron was still inhabited. It's not the next part in that series, it's a side-story.

 

Yes the gameplay on Cybertron are flashbacks, but we will find out what happened after FOC on the earth missions

 

I hope the competitive multiplayer returns.

 

The FoC side of things being flashbacks or the characters on that side even going to Earth at any point after FoC's events aren't even confirmed. If the FoC characters end up fighting on Earth, it'll most likely be due to their connection to the AoE universe and characters passing from one to another.

 

Honestly, I think it depends on who the playable characters will be before I decide if I'm going to buy or rent this game in the future. 40 does seem like a great amount, but how many of those characters are going to just be the same character = just different universe/time?

Once I see the list of characters, I'll decide if I'll get it or not.
