Also, I think the non-blue jet is Needlenose? It's easier to tell on this clearer version of the cover that he has some green on his wings, so the colours do match.
Priscilla posted RID #29 (and various other) covers without logo on her tumblr. Looks like the jets are Thundercracker and Slipstream.
So it is Thundercracker! Glad to see him return! And nah, those aren't Slipstream's colours--it's totally Needlenose.
Maybe it's nothing, but the grey jet has faction logos, while Thundercracker doesn't. Hopefully they don't just have him go, "O HAI, Ima Decepticon now again".
Hmm? The body is completely different, smokestacks on the shoulders, chest windows are very different, and abdomen is signficantly different. It's a complete redesign.
Ah, yes, the blue jet cone. I wonder what role Needlenose plays in RID. He didn't seem to have too much interest in fighting anymore (if I remember right), a bit like TC. Also wonder whether TC is still going solo or forming some kind of alliance with the humans.
It looks like soundwave will have a vehicle mode judging from the windshield wipers underneath his symbol.
Standing with your hips cocked to one side and leaning back is typically an uncomfortable thing to do.
Nobody is mentioning that Blitzwing is the tank on the right? Heck, for all we know, Brawl is the tank on the left. Fairborne is the human antagonist now? Ugh. Spike drove me away from getting any enjoyment out of the Earth comics last time around, I don't have high hopes for this one either. Anyway, love the MTMTE cover with Megs and Tailgate. That is going to be so much fun!
That occurred to me as well; not sure why else the tank on the right would be purple. Heh, he probably wouldn't (he didn't realize Orion and Optimus were the same 'bot at first), unless someone drew him a picture or clued him in ahead of time.
Yes I had Maketoys Green Giant on the brain.. I see what you mean in the different features, but a lot of things look similar too. I wouldn't object to him getting a leader class toy though.
Was going to say something looks off about Fairbourne. It's the stance and the fact that her entire lower torso seems too long to be natural. Very Leifeld-y.
Make toys Giant does look awesome. You know I think the changes in the design is (hopefully) to better match up the design with a unannounced leader class toy.
