Honestly, I wanted the name of the next Cybertron game to be called "Sons of Cybertron" to go with "War for" and "Fall of" naming theme.

 

But if a Cybertron game was coming out this year we would've known about it already. This has to be either a movie game or something completely different.

 

Maybe megatron's body died in DOTM, but his spark lives on? Or maybe Grimlock roars so loud, he woke Unicron?
Or maybe they are just stupid and out of ideas on what to name a transformers game...

Long as it isn't a silly bumper cars game, I'll probably rent it.

 

Awesome! Finally a TF game on the Xbox One! If it is connected with AoE, though, sincerely hope it isn't a prequel.

I'm hoping that this is a new game for the "of Cybertron" line. I loved the first two!  

The title reminds me of the Beast Machines episode with Megatron's spark floating around.  

 

My best guess is that this is the game tie in to AOE. I'll be damn shocked if it isn't.

More likely than not, this is a movie game. It's a movie year.

Fall of Cybertron only released on 360 and PS3.

My guess is a loosely connected story like the DOTM prequel game. They're probably titling it different so people don't go in expecting to replay scenes from the movie. I know that was a source of disappointment for some.

Anyway id bet we see something tomorrow.

 

I hope we at least get to play as all the characters in all the designs (even if some of them are multiplayer-only) if it's an AOE tie-in.

Are you sure about that? News post does not mention Playstation 3, and no one directly mentioned they saw the link say "Playstation 3" before it was taken down.

And PC.

And Xbox One and PS4 weren't out in 2012.

And WFC came out on Wii and DS (although for some reason FOC didn't, but still).

 

to expect otherwise would've been naive. Such is the way of movie games. Those that don't are the rare exceptions.

The reason FOC skipped 3DS and Wii was because rather than do a dumbed down version for Nintendo platforms, they chose to do a TF Prime game instead that year.

In a movie year, it seems unlikely that they'd try to hype a separate continuity across multiple platforms.

 

If is not a movie game, maybe we will have a Teaser-Trailer in July-October (Like WFC and FOC)
If it is a movie game we will have a trailer soon, and the FOC sequel goes to 2015-2016

Doesn't matter... With 80mil established base, compared to 5 mil each for x1 and ps4, they'd be loony NOT to do ps3. Sure, it'll have less particle effects and softer details, but the ps3 will definitely get a version.

 

I don't really like the name, but i'm hoping this well be good.
