After the discussion I watched on Twitter on all-wood watches, not surprised by off-topic's WWGTW title. It's been a long time since I've paid attention to having any watch, but Seth's new one makes me a little wistful to the idea of having a nice, new one.

 

Okay, I know nothing about these "stackdown" sets or the figures, but I do know the name C3.

Remember Minimates? How when they first started, they were just Marvel? Well, when they first did DC characters, it was a partnership with C3 which saw the DC Minimates packed in with construction toy sets.

It was also the first major dip in quality for Minimates. I had a Superman with two left legs and a Batman that fell apart in my hands. Not to mention the plastic just felt weird and foamy. The blocks were fine, but nothing impressive, and they weren't what I was buying those sets for, so you can imagine thirteen year old me's crushing disappointment.

So, yeah, I wouldn't trust C3 at all to do good minifigures.

The cross-channel hovercraft over here is no longer in use since 2000 due to the price of fuel and the Channel tunnel being available - although anyone with half a brain should know how hovercraft work!

Me? I wanted the mystery Bluestreak repaint to be in Black Gold colors. With a head that looks a little like the holo driver of TF Animated Prowl.

Now knights could be cool especially if they had done a unified Sword thing but not going to lie kind wish we had gotten pirates vs ninjas set. Also now vangelus has put the hope the Generations Arcee and Chromia are not remolds of each other guess we will know In a week

I sympathize with your drought of retail figures, Seth. I'm experiencing the same... I haven't seen anything new in I don't know how long. Except about two weeks back, I saw like FIVE Dreadwings... but nothing else. I bought one just because, well, why not. The comic was cool. The figure actually has tighter joints than my Megatron, too.

Nothing since. I keep going back hoping to score a Skids. By the way, thanks for the spoiler warning on his comic - I've only finished the first three TPBs. Now I'll have to debate whether or not to read that issue right away or not...
