yeah.. the human alliance figures were probably my favorite part of rotf and dotm.

sure, some had some bad kibble.. but bumblebee was pretty good, barricade was fantastic (though i wish he had two hands), jazz was just about perfect. though i didn't really like the characters skids and mudflap turned out pretty nice, leadfoot would've been better had he been accurate, roadbuster was awesome, soudnwave (though i don't have it) probably would've been my favorite. ..

i'm still FUMING over human alliance soundwave never getting released. i cannot believe that shit. i REALLY wanted the damn thing too.

I really hope something good is shown at Toy Fair, everything I seen so far is a SH*T show of crap to me. Hasbro didn't get anything from me with DOTM and so far they wont be getting anything for this round either. Ill just continue to work on my G1 collection if they are all crap..

Hopefully I'll finally have some decent toys to buy that aren't third party because the supposed "thrilling 30" line wasn't so thrilling anyways.

I'm almost hoping for the worst. It's been a long, slow slide down in quality for a while with most things Hasbro. I might just be ready to stop. If they blow this line it will be easy.

The base designs for BB and Drift are already questionable. Prime is a step down as well, but I still actually LIKE that design. We'll see.

I think they meant the Movie toys taking over the line and being the ONLY things in the line, but that probably won't happen.

The vast majority (maybe all) of the Generations slots for the 1st Waves seem movie related - I suspect they just decided to keep the white/red boxes for a while and not have to re-brand the toys again as soon as the Movie dies off.

The advantage of doing it that way is they can go back to doing non-movie stuff as soon as they are done - or release characters like HFTD Lockdown that can work as either/or.

They can also slot in the odd over looked Movie Quadrillogy character into the assortment with out it causing to much disruption.

I suspect however in practical terms what will happen is the Movie 4 toyline will dominate the whole brand until the end of 2014 and then slowly vanish into 2015 Generations will taper out or go on the back burner and be partly replaced by the 2015 cartoon toyline.

However since it's Hasbro and they hardly ever manage to get a toyline and a cartoon out at the same time. I suspect Generation in some form will run well into 2015 as they drag their heels on the 2015 Cartoon toyline - but if what they make is a very collector unfriendly line or something set in the Movie universe then some one is going to be rendered unsatisfied with it.

I don't Suppose Hasbro will be giving us Movie villains in leader size they seem loath to do that - stating villain leaders don't sell - I suspect that has more to do with 2007 & 2009 Movie Leader Megatrons being horrible toys than it does them being Decepticons though.

Not really into movie figures, so it will be a nice break for my wallet until the non-movie generations characters start getting released again.

    Think of it like this....
If the generartions baybots do good enough it might become a movie line only leaving out any other series.
If it does bad hasblow will ditch the line altogether and scrap any unreleased figs and projects.
That is my biggest fear right now.

My fear is something happening like with GI Joe. Hasbro has some great stuff after the disappointment of the movie related figures, but retailers are so unhappy with how the movie related stuff sold they don't want to stock the brand even when better more desired figures are released.

When movie lines had their own names retailers could say blah we don't want any more of the Dark of the Moon line clogging our shelves. Hasbro could then say fine, how about some Generations or Transformers Prime figures instead? Now if retailers said blah these movie figures don't sell very well Hasbro can only say how about more of the same sub-brand name?
