Transformer in a comic book. Okay, this is what first came to me (probably because I'm still constantly fiddling with the toy three weeks after buying it).

So back in the late 80s and early 90s there was this comic book called Justice League International. It was the best comic book ever. There was a recurring group of characters in this book who formed a new Injustice League: a collection of losers, sadsacks, morons, and their accountant Bruce. They drifted in and out of the book over the course of its run, but in one glorious moment they got a chance in the spotlight when they decided to give up their unsuccessfully criminal ways and volunteer to join the JLI... where they were saddled with the worst Green Lantern ever and assigned to protect the JLI's Antarctica embassy. Somehow they still managed to eff that job up.

And I would add Waspinator to their number.
