I don't see what makes these figures popular. They have no articulation and they're super deformed

 

I don't understand the popularity either. I like them, but don't know why. I also haven't bought any of them yet. Can't imagine these will change that.

Whats with Transformers having some sort of Facial Hair like that so called Drift having a little bit of hair under his mouth..?

Totally agree kjeevahh. Transformers have been sporting facial hair threw out the different series, who's to say cybortronions don't have robotic facial hair lol. Plus on some characters it works I think

 

I've been on a samurai kick lately- so even if that not isn't drift- I'll look out for it- but damn- hope it is.

 

Okay, what if this Drift wearing armour, akin to Samurai Prowl? I can't think of a narrative reason for that, but it could explain the smoothness, and also the toy listings, as the deluxe could be just the car and the voyager be 'Samurai Armour Drift' or something.
And for everyone saying it does't look like Drift, it's probably as close to it as a movie verse design is going to get. As far as I'm concerned the majority of movie characters have taken enough cues from past iterations to warrant an homage, so Drift wearing Samurai-inspired armour, using swords is more than enough, not to mention if he has Con roots.

Does that tease hint that they might be revealing him soon? I'd be happy if they did one new figure a week until Super Bowl or something

 

Just a random thought hit me....what if there's an origin flashback for drift "he was a decepticon trained in an ancient art by a savage warrior named Bludgeon..."
With flashes of a skull and orange armor ...

 

Wouldn't work wing from the circle of light group that made him see he'd lost his honour by killing on command. So he learn cybertronian ti chi helped the circle of light group kick the slaver deceptions a xx. Then wings bestowed drift with the great sword before he died. An like that he left the circle of light joined up with the auto bots to take some names and reclaim his honour.

also why he refuses to use guns and only uses swords and wore samurai type gear . From when he adopted the cybertronian ti chi from wing

 

sure but I doubt he will have that same history in the movies lol. The only thing I see a movie Drift having that the Drift from the comics has, is the swords and looks Samurai-like. I really dont see Bay getting all that detailed with Drift's past in being trained by Wings or any of the circle of light history. I could be wrong though lol. But I just dont see all that happening.

 

I agree sadly -.-, drift is epic but bay just ain't gun a do it justice lol. All thow we are getting 30 minutes of footage on Cyberton in the film I read some were, seems too long for a flash back. Possibly origin of the weird looking sword cade was carrying maybe or the crashed ship that's in china

Read it on 1 of the other forums, I'll try retrace my steps and find the exact article and post the link. Said 30 min in cyberton, 30 min in Hong Kong and rest in USA I believe.

I doubt that they'd take "great" offence. I'd expect more like eye roll "Oh you dumb americans." type offence.

No...Stupid, maybe. But not really offensive. I think more then anything they'd just laugh at you.

 

Found this while looking for new info. The 3 added colored pics look to be all slightly different angles and the light flash is different on the colored pics compared to the non colored pics. These seem to be the base colors for the 3 with no paint aps or other designs added. Something about the "Drift" Pop Bot doesnt look right. If these are legit, and if that is drift, and if Drift is the Bugatti in the movie, the Bugatti is Blue and Black not grey and white.
