Re - Listener Question: You know, I'll give Joss Whedon shit for a lot of things, but Serenity legit got me with its sudden and expected death.

I'm not so up on my Korean films! I've seen The Host, though... that counts for something, right? Right?! :(

EDIT: Still a proud Twitter.com-using goon. Woo.

Nah, he died in that episode where they received his body in a coffin and then stood around it wearing Etsy hats and then jettisoned it into the sun.

On the whole gore thing, I actually have the opposite reaction then Vang does when a scene gets morose in it's gory deaths. For me it actually puts me off enough to get taken out of the experience. While on the other hand, I can do visual action gore just fine, and often enjoy it, even.

Which probably means it has less to do with the gore, and more to do with the actual tone of the scene and how it's presented.
It also probably means that I'm an uncultured troglodyte when it comes to what I find visually entertaining.

The thing that makes me uncomfortable in movie/ TV violence is beating or killing bare handed. I think it's because just punching someone to death seems so much more savage then using a weapon.

    Replying to Cybercast Comment

I'd like to say I really appreciate the followers the Cybercast has and thank you for the loyalty, but I don't think this is the forum to put it on. I wouldn't like it if someone advertised their video/podcast on my channel so let's give them the same respect. I apologize if someone posted something regarding what I do was offensive and hope it doesn't happen again but I can't control people. I don't think of myself or things I do above or below what others do. I'm just a dude that likes robots.

No worries dude. I'm glad when people share their passions. Just some times people get overly passionate about their passions, then you get passion everywhere and it just makes a mess. :D
